Just found out I'm going to be in Chicago Sept 14-17. Pre season start by then? I can't remember.

Training camp will probably have started...but i doubt any pre=season games.

assuming there's no lockout...

Unlikely, it's usually about the 20th, you'll just miss it.

oh wow, could you get two worse teams?

I've actually never been to Wrigley to watch Baseball. I've been to US Cellular a few times (Cubs are always out of town when I'm in) but I've been to Wrigley for the Winter Classic.

I wasn't impressed.

I don't even really like baseball do enjoy taking in a MLB game every year or 2(Been to 7-8 different parks). I want to go to Wrigley for the history alone. As long as there's beer I really don't even care how bad the game could be.

Wrigley Field, not at all impressed. I mean, come on, horse troughs for urinals? And the ivy-covered outfield wall and the W flag are both just incredibly tacky. However, US Cellular is an incredibly walkable and fan-friendly park. Open concourses and it's always easy to find your way back to your seat. It's a shame not that many people enjoy it each night.

wrigley is a dump. My finest memory as a chicago sports fan was going to a cubs game where fielder hit two home runs and chanting "curtain call" while sitting in the 10 row behind third. So many buttsore cubs fans.

Congrats on your daughter - that's wonderful news!!! As an aside, as a 32 yr old, it's nice to know that i'm not the only one who posts here who's not in his/her teens or 20s.

Well, no...but since you're from Ontario I'll pretend you do so we can be Hawks board friends.

The fact you specified "Ontario" makes me know deep inside that you're not from Toronto...which makes you suspect. But until someone from Toronto turns up we're still friends.

Sounds like DayNah is S.O.L. when it comes to hitting up the UC for preseason action. Go in July and check out prospect camp. So much fun. Definitely hitting it up for the second year in a row. Might go to all the days. Count on that being in early to mid July.

I will not lie, going to a Sox game isn't all that bad. Was there Friday night. 35th Street Red Hots is ****ing legit. So damn good. The tickets are cheap and there are modern amenities at the park. However, the place reeks of sauerkraut. I'm sure some love it, but I hate it. And if anyone agrees with that and tells it to a Sox fan, they'll just say our park smells like piss. That is so far from beyond the truth. Not a bad crowd of good-looking ladies. Maybe it was a good night. Will go to more games on the cheap even as a Cubs fan if there is a consistent amount of those at each game.

It's historic. If you sit in the bleachers, they're just as modern as everywhere else since the remodel. It will be interesting to see what they do with the expected rehab to the park
