How about that hand pass? Thats the kind of stuff that fuels conspiracy theories..
What about it? Hand passes are perfectly legal in the defensive zone so...
not sure if you're serious or...

6-5 is far more fun than a boring 1-0 with 75 blocked shots. And your generic basketball diss makes you sound like a child.

Thank you for some rationality here.

I don't see why the shooter can't take a split second longer to make a decision and have the patience to see if the defender actually goes down to block?? Any deft hockey player can make a move around a fully prone or half-prone player into open space to make a better play.

It just takes guys with brains and some good decision making.

So we can learn from the stupidity of the past or repeat it. Or spite everyone because 29 GMs were jealous of your goalie during a desperate brainstorming session 7 years ago.

Well, if you want to be a tough guy, prove it.

Thats the risk of blocking shots, just like all you guys keep saying.

but attempting to injure by shooting at their heads should be the penalty not blocking the shot

I still think the Devils need to shoot high and make the guys wearing Blue Jerseys pay the price. There was one shot a Ranger player blocked last night, where he has crawling on the ice in pain afterwards (forgot who it was). More of that needs to happen, just higher, so the guy who blocked knows not to the next time.
The guy on the ice slide to block it. How will shooting high make him think twice. Oh, that's right, your mature solution is to knock his teeth out. Kind of hard for that to happen unless he stays on feet. But then we're back to square one because the rule change won't help you there. Sounds more like "I can't beat you so I hope you get hurt." Or in other words: sour grapes.

This whole idea is nonsense. Let's remove all those things from the game.

Then make the nets as big as soccer, and allow for extra point shots after a goal, to really make the game more interesting.
Are you kidding me? Throwing a hit takes skill. It takes timing, positioning, strength, and balance. Intercepting a pass takes hockey sense, timing, positioning, and intelligence. In fact, all those things take skill... I don't know why you're getting all defensive, I never said a shot blocking rule should be implmented. It's just not a skill play hardly at all.

High scoring run and gun stuff is not exciting to me. Boring.

hey, hey guys... FYI.. rangers are up 1-0 in the series. hey ummm devils fans... try blocking a shot.. marty hasnt tried that yet. maybe if his forwards and defenseman layed out to block something the rangers wouldnt be up 1-0 in the series right now... hell they might not have scored 3 on you last night. how many got past henrik of the 21 shots that got to him? oh oh yeah thats right... zero. 28 shots got to marty. 3 went in... yeah.. tell ur forwards and defense to start sacrificing to win a game. its the ECF afterall... maybe they should try and put a puck in the net rather than shoot at players heads... they might score or even win a game that way...

Whats mature about flopping around on the ice like a bunch of Soccer players?

Sounds like you have Sour Grapes yourself. Welcome to 1995, I hope you enjoy hearing about your teams awful, boring, skill-ridden system.

if you're going to try and be a smart ass at least get your facts straight....one goal was an empty netter, thus it did NOT beat Brodeur

and if you think he was the reason the Devils lost last night you clearly are just trying to bash him

In terms of blocking shots they should put restrictions on the equipment skaters use such as those extra plastic skate guards they put on the outside of the skates. That would discourage shot blocking fairly quickly.
