I'd take Ohlund over Witt, Niedermayer and D.Markov, defensively that is.

Hatcher's season was SO bad last year, that I think he has pretty much fallen off of everyone's radar.

Well, dont misinterpret what I am saying. As a Wings fan, I hope he rebounds. He did have a pretty devastating injury that cost him most of his season, so he should be given a little bit of slack. But he was BRUTAL in the playoffs. I think people have forgotten about him a bit.

I hope he rebounds big for the Wings though. Screw Dallas!

I think this lock out is definately going to hurt Hatcher. The only way he is going to be dominant like he can is if he can play lots.

Plus:
New obstruction rules welll definately hurt him, as his game relies 100% on obstruction.

I think the Hatcher well never return to form.

No he isn't....there are just really good defensive dmen in the league. Niedermayer is without a doubt one of the best allround dmen.

Nobody ever remembers Mattias Norstrom, hell his name didn't come to my mind until you mentioned it.. but he definitly deserves to be there. The guy is so good, so poised and goes about his game without any fanfare. He would be welcome on my team anytime.

True. It doesn't help that he plays in LA either.

I think Ohlund should be here He's near flawless in the defensive zone, and I would rank him #3 for defensive play, and awareness for defenders... The defenders who beat him out are Foote, and Lidstrom.

Ohlund is great, but not THAT great.

Ahead of Pronger?

That would be my list. Swap Mitchell with Niedermayer, though.

The guy who started the thread already said he missed Ohlund and would add him in. No need to shake your head about thustly.
