Ruutu isn't even in the ame league as Koivu right now. Ruutu is lucky to get 40/50 points, Saku can get close to a PPG with good linemates.

Ruutu is lucky to get 40-50 pts with third line minutes in his rookie season with Scott Nichol and Travis Moen as linemates for half of the season, while Koivu is talented enough to get 70 with Ryder and Zednik.

Thats the point....Koivu is better now.....Ruutu will be better soon. I also think this last injury for Ruutu will set him back.

I was making a point that it had nothing to do with skill, it was a comparison of linemates/role/icetime.

This doesn't even take Ruutu's intimidating physical presence into effect.

Nor does it take Koivu's heart and determination into it. Remember what injuries Saku played in the playoffs with.

No he isn't.....If I were gunning for the cup I would add Saku before Ruutu.

On the same note, I'd take Sami Salo over Joni Pitkanen in the playoffs. Is Salo better? No!

At the moment yes. Who ever will help your team the most in the playoffs is the better player.....if you had a team of those players you would never lose the cup.

The guy scored 44 points as a rookie in Chicago... playing an average of 3 fewer minutes and with crappy players. And if you've ever seen him play, you'd realize the guy just may be the best Finnish forward in the world.

I'd have Koivu ranked 4th'ish, after Lehtinen, Jokinen, and Ruutu.

Thats because you hate/troll the habs. You would never look at this through clear eyes. Its funny because Steen plays alot like Koivu and you will be praising him in the future. Steen is a little more of a goal scorer but the points are there.

That must be it.

It can't be that Ruutu's the better player.

The fact that I'd rather have Tuomo Ruutu over Saku Koivu makes me a troll?

I'm wondering if you've seen Ruutu play... ?
