Devils really need this win. It's not only about avoiding going down 2-0, it's also about them getting a win in the Garden and beating Lundvist who I believe is in their heads and has been for the last several years. And why all this complaining about how the Rangers play? I also find it boring and frustrating.
However, the Rangers have been playing this way all season long and play within the rules. There has been some talk by GM's about changing the rules regarding shot-blocking, but that's possibibly in the future, not now. And the Rangers also seem to score when they have to.

I think the "beating Henroid" angle is the most important subplot going right now. 2-0 deficits while not a good thing, are not the worst thing in the world, a vezina goalie getting in the heads of your offensive players, is pretty darn near the worst thing in hockey.

My Dad and I got into a screaming match in the 3rd period of last game after the BS second goal. Usually we keep it pretty level headed, but not this time around.
Marty is 100% correct..if they are going to sell out and play that way make them pay for it...nothing wrong with shooting a little wide of the shin guards if they are going to slide down or elevating the puck if they are standing up(everyone knows high is where HL can be beaten anyways).
Got one day off from the army, got to go home for the night. I'll set my alarm at 4am, watch the 1st period from DVR and catch up to the game and end up live at latest in the 3rd. Devils better ****ing win, im wasting my night sleep on this one, and really could use it. LGD.
