sigh. looks like Kings sweep another one. Just hand them F-ing Cup already. Don't even bother with Rangers trying to win it all. UGH.

Nick Kypreos ‏ @RealKyper #SNPlayoffs #Coyotes Hanzal faces #NHL discipline hearing later today. Doan major/ Morris kneeing penalty will not be questioned further.

Yea, apparently the Carter deal has helped them alot. I would have liked to see our GM get us more GF in the form of an impact player at the deadline. Not one quite so cap heavy as Carter. The Kings are looking very strong to get past the Yotes.

I think finding someone to take Jack Johnson helped as much. Upgraded D and F all in one deal.

With Preakness this Saturday, NBC will air game starting 10am PT and through two potential OTs (at which they'll transition to Preakness coverage) and the game will be on CNBC, except in NYC which will cover game until the end (CNBC will have Preakness coverage) and Baltimore (which will preempt game and have Preakness coverage all day).

Johnson is a stud. He wasn't for LA, but in Columbus he was a top 20 defenseman. They went from 20 games under .500 to .500 when he got there. Going to turn out to be a really good trade for both teams, because it clearly helped the Kings as you said.

Ha! People here didn't want Carter. Now he's been on 2 teams that have gone farther than we ever have.

That doesn't mean anything, Raffi Torres has been on 2 teams that have gone further than the Sharks have gone. He was not a playoff performer in Philadelphia.

Yeah, I'll call SSS on that. He was utter trash in LA the entire time he was there.

I'm not jumping on the Carter bandwagon yet. From what I've seen he's mostly been a non-factor for LA (Brown, Quick, Kopitar, Richards, Doughty, King, and Penner have all been more vital to their run to name a few), and Philly fans will tell you he was a passenger on that Finals team as well.

The consensus on Jack Johnson is that he excels when he's allowed to be The Guy. He played his best in LA when Doughty was out of the lineup. Now that he gets to be the #1 in Cbus, it doesn't surprise me at all that he's doing so well.

He was a +5 in Columbus in 21 games with 14 points. Basically a pace for 16g40a and a +20.

He was also named captain of the WC team. He's a leader as well. Captain America.

I guess the Sharks will be the ONLY team in California without a cup soon, time to get laughed at even worse now.

It's okay, we'll take it.

I love JMFJ. He's just a great guy all-around. He negotiated his own contract and took a massive HTD, and made Doughty look like an ******* for holding out. If Nash is traded, JJ has to be the next captain.

Keep in mind that theres a big difference between the Ducks and Kings when having bragging rights over us. The Ducks absolutely have bragging rights because they came into the league after us and have won a cup. The Kings have gone 44 seasons without a cup, which is compounded by the fact that they couldnt get it done with the greatest player in NHL history on their team.

In conclusion, if the Kings do end up winning the Cup, then just remind the obnoxious Kings fan that chirps you that it only took them 44 seasons to do so and congratulate them.

Johnson was Superman at last year's WC too. It doesn't exactly carry over to NHL play though I will say he is an excellent leader and twice the leader Rick Nash is. CBJ needs leadership and JMFJ will bring it.
