That coach-picker thing is brilliant, indeed. Kudos to Japer's.

My Georgish answers generated Cooper. I wonder how many different possible answers there are, though. (add Gus)

Same. I think it's because I put more importance on offense than defense in the answers, but damn.
Edit: I think there should be more questions, although it might be harder to make work. It seems like answering that NHL experience isn't a priority, etc., almost guarantees you a non-NHL name, since so many of the questions are related to that. I also answered that I didn't care about ties to the organization, and got...Mark French. I just wish more of the questions were about their actual coaching styles/abilities. Cool idea though.

Which doesn't mean much when we're actually talking about Evanson taking a head coaching job being good for his career. The point is that unless you have head coaching experience on your resume, history shows you'll have a harder time getting a job as an NHL head coach, no matter how long or recent you were an NHL assistant.

Stevens and Oates quotes have come through hockey writers at least, as opposed to speculation by posters on HFBoards.
Those quotes were speculation from CSN Washington, which then were repreated in other stories. Speculation is about worthless everywhere.
