Shane Doan (If PHX Relocates)

I think its generally accepted that if PHX stays so does Doan. But is I haven't heard much about him on the boards beneath all the Parise/Suter/Luongo talk (assuming because everyone believes he is staying).

The guy is a legit game changer and if he does move where do you think it will be?

I hope he takes a look at Colorado. He can ride shotgun with Matt Duchene

Would love him on a line with Giroux or Schenn (1st or 2nd line). Veteran, fiesty, tough and can put up good numbers.

Anaheim and LA have the best chance if he leaves.

I'd say so. Aside from Smith he's usually the most noticeable player on the ice whenever I watch a Yote game. Delivering hits and creating chances on both ends.

You don't think he is?

Fights will break out between him and Brown in the lockerroom. lol.

I'd say Dallas/Anaheim.

Colorado or the Kings. Both are quick flights to Phoenix.

No mention of SJ?

Mature experienced core whos GM desperately wants to win the Cup.

A player like Doan would be good for their top 6 (especially if he replaces Clowe)

Bad blood from that WCF might prevent him from going to LA.

I would jump in joy if he signed with Colorado though

Doan is one of the most overrated players in the league. Yeah he's stuck with one franchise his entire career and he's probably a good captain, but people act as if he's a first liner which hes not

If Phoenix relocated, I think there are other things that would become his priority.

1) Team that is close to his family - Check.

2) Team that gives him a legit shot at the cup - Check

???

He is the perfect 1st liner with intangibles on most teams in the league.

Losing Doan, who has bled nothing but Coyote red all his career, would be bad enough; watching him go to the Kings would make it even worse. I don't think he'll consider the Kings considering recent events, though I wouldn't blame him if he chose to sign with the Stanley Cup favorite for next year.

(God forbid) If he doesn't resign with the Yotes, I think he'd consider San Jose and Colorado - if he chooses the latter, I'd certainly be rooting for Ray Bourque redux.
