League filed. NHLPA notified their players.

I have heard nothing to confirm that rookie camps are "canceled". That just seems... dumb.

At this point I'm almost expecting another lockout. I haven't seen any progress at all being made towards re-newing the CBA.

I'm guessing player salaries nearly doubling in 7 years is killing some of the smaller market teams and/or the larger teams are not happy about the revenue sharing.

NHL has a TON of leverage here...look at those revenues, the amount of success the league has had, new NBC deal, WC revenues...they are going to want some of that money back.

Great, we finally get to a point where we have good prospects coming in and the NHL and NHLPA are looking to have another pissing match.

Were still recovering from the last one. We can't deal with this.

I believe that is precisely the biggest sticking point. NHL is going to ask for a rollback.

i also have a player side source that does indeed say that discipline is an issue for the NHLPA.

There's gonna be a lockout. Last time I changed seats at the Xcel was before the 2004-05 season. We know how that turned out. Well, guess who relocated their seats for next year? Lockout incoming!

Yep, same here. I've already resigned myself to the fact that the season will not start on time this fall.

You need to just stop changing anything, period. And stop offering to change your avatar is X event happens. Whenever you offer that, X event is assured to NOT happen.

I think we'll be ending up with a shortened pre-season, but still a season. That's the optimistic me, though.

Hey, I figured the few that would get it would sit back quietly and not call me out..

But to stay on topic, I really don't see teams playing any less than 82 games this season. Could be wishful thinking, but I doubt it.

I thought it was pretty funny.

The league can't make money if they don't play any games. Don't see why they would have another lockout when they are hitting record popularity.

I wonder how much Fargo Force season tickets are. Been to a couple of games at Urban Plains. Really nice little building.
