Apparently this Malik (sp?) Jackson kid is going to be something special at DT according to Alfred Williams. He's drooling over this kid. Saying we might have gotten a Trevor Pryce type guy in round 5. I will believe it when I see it, but good news nonetheless.

Anyone been to one of the camp sessions yet? if so, what do you think about him?

DOD's problem is that there IS no development in the system. That's why he's horrible as a GM. He's made decent trades (nothing incredibly bad) and ok free agent signings. The area where he's been horrid is the draft and development......sooooo...let's let DOD focus primarily on those two areas. cripes what are these people thinking.
There's no courage in the Rockies front office to get rid of someone. I hope that Dan O'Dowd gets kicked to the curb over the winter, but I honestly expect him to stick with the organization for a while.

That would be amazing, but again we will have to wait and see.

Just listening to Hastings. He say the Rockies PR office has told Sandy Clough and the Fan in particular they will shut them out of access for being critical of the team. Clough is supposed to call in and explain the situation.

what a joke.

They should still criticize them. It's not like the Rockies ever have incredible breaking news anyways.

What did Clough say? I heard Hastings say something but never heard the followup.

Sandy has been critical of the rockies and their management for a long time. If only the Rocky mountain news was still around to make every excuse in the books for the rockies.

I only follow the Broncos with a fraction of the interest I have for the Avs, but I'm way more jazzed about the Broncos this year. Seriously excited to see what Manning can do with this team. They may fall apart on day 1 but right now, they are looking like a very good bet for the division title and as good a chance as any other AFC team to go deep in the playoffs

Didn't know where else to put this... We'll find out the answer soon enough but still worth a read.

LOL Arsenal just spent about 40 million pounds on players, don't know how that's consider cheap.

You of all people should know SEPH. This is Cesc and Nasri's $$$, the cash isn't coming for Kroenke's pocket. You bought a declining Podolski, an unproven Giroud and Cazorla. FWIW I wouldn't plan on any transfer parades.

Oh I totally agree that we need results, just stating that we DID spend 40 million on players, it has nothing to do with how good they're going to be.

Yeah I totally forgot about the Nasri and Cesc money.

I actually really like Podolski, but man I would've preferred Mueller. Too bad I don't see Munich selling him, besides maybe a trade for RvP. But we need some gamebreaking talent to replace him, Hummels?!

According to ESPN the Nuggets may be a partner in a Howard trade.

Quote:
According to the website's sources, Howard and Nuggets forward Al Harrington would go to the Lakers; 76ers guard Andre Iguodala would be moved to Denver; Bynum would be dealt to Philadelphia; and Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo would go to Orlando.

Terrible deal for Orlando, terrific deal for Philly, good deal for Nuggets, decent deal for LA. In the end absolutely unrealistic.

Iguodala is inconsistent, but he's a Hell of a lot better than bynum.

Iggy better than Bynum? I can't stand Bynum and Iggy's one of my favourite players, but Bynum is on a different level and much better player of the two.

If the Nuggets are so serious about competing I don't know why they get involved to send Howard to NY.

Excited about watching the Broncos tonight though. I want to see this DT Jackson kid and see if he really is legit. Almost as much as I want to see Payton take a hit (not because I want him to get injured - I just want to make sure all of this stuff isn't a mirage sooner than later). Am I a horrible person for wanting that?

On the Nuggets side, I'm really hoping we get this done. I absolutely love AAA, but AI 2.0 is the kind of player we need. He's a (somewhat) consistent scorer with just as good defense as AAA. Losing Al would suck, but his age is/will likely catch up with him.

I also wouldn't look at it as facilitating a rival (lakers) in a trade. They aren't really getting better (D12>Bynum, but losing Pau should be huge).

Ewwww Liverpool. Their fans on this site are God-awful, can't stand that team.

I think I will never understand why American Football is so popular.
