It's really amazing just how awful this defense is. Couldn't stop anything in the 1st half, again, then FINALLY made some stops. This team needs to stop spotting the other team a 21+ point lead every dang week. Not going to win much doing that. Also, I place some blame on Manning. I assume he's the one making the calls out there most of the time and there were some pretty questionable ones.
Defense still is very weak up the middle. Broncos need significant upgrades and depth at DT, MLB and S. DTs put no pressure on the QB and leave plenty of room for them to just step up and make a throw, our MLB can't cover anyone and should not be out there in passing situations (which against a team like New England is every play) and our safeties are often out of position and don't provide help over the top for the CB's or just don't have the anticipation or enough ability to break on the ball and make a play. Teams like Houston, New England, New Orleans and top QBs will eat this defense alive.

I hate to break this to you, but Ayers was always average, and someone upstairs finally realized it. Now he plays average player minutes and the illusion of production from being on the field constantly has vanished.

I beg to differ. They're exposing Dumervil at every possible chance. If he plays the right, the run left, if he plays left, they run right. I think they should move him back to the position he played on 09, I think he was an outside line backer? I don't know enough...but I remember him being better in 09 and know he played a diff position then.
I think Dumervil as the highest paid player, while best at his position is probably the first player that will be traded out.
I still see the team winning 9 or 10 games. They've lost 3 games to 3 very good teams. If they can get there mistakes and turnovers in check a couple of those games could've been very different.
This teams a joke. Can't stop crap when it matters. Can't score when it matters. Take horrendous penalties at untimely times. Can't hang onto the ball and fumble it every other play. I hope Manning rips into the team. I hate the guy but he deserves so much better than this barely passable collegiate team to play behind.
This game is brutal, they're playing embarrassingly. Not only are they getting destroyed, but I have manning and thomas in my fantasy lineup, needless to say i don't think i'm winning this week...
