Ericcson seemed to jump into the play quite a bit this year actually. I think all the people that rag on him all the time are going to be shut up this year by him. I think hes gonig to take a big step for some reason
Nah...he could win a Norris and people would still rag on him.

I thought I was the only one that thought he made a step forward this season. Still not earning the money he makes, but he has improved.

He has to with Stuart gone. They assigned his locker next to Stuart's and constantly preached Stuart's name in his ear so that Ericsson will play more like him. I'm not saying he will take this big step but that he has to do so.

Guy is getting closer and closer to 30. He needs to make a big jump this season.
I wonder what the conditions are. GP? Points? Playoff performance?
We'll probably know that after the season, if ever.. But for what it's worth performance bonuses for ELC are 20 goals, 35 assists, 60 points, 0.72ppg in min. of 42 games, top3 in +/- in min. of 42 games or top6 in ice time among forwards min. of 42 games.
I really like this signing. No risk, decent potential reward. I expect him to start the year in Grand Rapids. He'll likely get a call up eventually, probably play on the 3rd line with Helm (after Eaves gets hurt again? ).

Sadly, that will probably be the case with Eaves' injury history.
I wonder if this is Ken Holland throwing Babcock a bone after he was so upset about missing out on Burns last year.
Just what I was thinking. Then again, Brunnstrom started on the big club to start the year, right? He was brutal defensively. But I think Brunner will be glued to Helm's wing to see if they can have good chemistry.
I don't see him in GR to start the year cause if he goes there, I don't think he'll be a Red Wing much longer... This is going to be real hit or miss.
Given the lack of anything and everything that's been done to the top 6 thus far, in addition to the state that it's already in (hello, Cleary and Bert!), I'll eat like five hats if they actually send Brunner down immediately to start the season.
They'll give this one time, unless he just absolutely dogs it right out of the gate. Even then, they still gave Brunnstrom five games to prove his uselessness, so I imagine Brunner would be given that much, at the very least.
