So much potential. Soft hands, big body, good vision. Then people wonder why some of us like him.

I'd just like to say that personally I hate seeing fights in a highlight video, especially when that's not what the player is there to do. Now if we are doing a Steven MacIntyre highlight video, I'd expect to see fights. Otherwise, nice job.

Wow, so much potential and Dan Bylsma has him playing 4 minutes a game on the 4th line with Adams and vitale? Bylsma gets a chubby everytime you mention a veteran. Hmmm Do i want Eric Tangradi 6 foot 4 230 pounds standing in front of the net of tyler kennedy shooting 30 times a game and missing the net every single time. Hmmm do i want Eric Tangradri standing infront of the net of the 2nd power play or do i want tyler kennedy that dicks around with the puck and thennn shoots it 30 times?
Bylsma get over your ego and put tangradi atleast in the top 9 getting maybe 12-15 minutes a game instead of 4 minutes

Tangradi would be in Cooke's spot on the 2nd unit not Kennedy's.

Is cookie in front of the net on the 2nd power play. I know kennedy wasn't but i thought you could do like the Flyers the 2 big guys infront of the net and maybe one of them could pop out into the slot maybe for a shot

Relax, Tangradi will get his chance.

If you want to do it like the Flyers you need a RH and a LH shot provided the guy running the PP is a RH, doesn't really work on our 2nd unit PP as no one actually runs it a la Giroux.

Beau Bennett just tweeted that he's up to 210 pounds. Sounds like the college route did what it was supposed to do - even with his injuries. Wasn't he around 185 or so when we drafted him?

I was coming here to post that too.

Beau Bennett ‏@BeauBennett78
Weighed in at 210 this morning #latsonlatsonlats

That's good news that he's up to that kind of weight.

His strength is what has me the most worried. If he has gotten stronger/bigger like he claims, that is a big step.

We'll see how his skating looks in the Fall.

210 seems ideal, probably means he'll be around 205ish for most of the season.

That's great. He's shown flashes of a power game in the handful of games I saw of him in the NCAA.. You take hands and skill like he already has and add a sturdier frame, that's one hell of a hockey player.

Isn't 210 pounds a bit heavy for the kind of player he is, considering he's not all that tall?

Isn't he a legit 6'1" now? ... it's not too bad, and will go down over the course of a season like Wej stated. Wouldn't want to see him any bigger however.

Ive never had to put on weight for hockey or anything, since I quit playing competitive hockey after high school, but could it be better that he has the weight on now, and he has all summer to really focus on skating and such at his new weight? Or does it not really make a difference?

I just pulled up a few of my old bookmarks and notes on BB and he was listed between 172 and 176 when he was drafted.

So that is pretty impressive adding 35lbs in less than two years.

not sure but I don't think he should be putting on any more weight unless he's going to go into bodybuilding rather than professional hockey.

Crosby is 5'11'' & around 200 lbs. For 6'1'' 210 sounds about right. I just hope he is working on hid conditioning. It was his weakest area at this years camp & he's about to step into a faster game.

Don't think there is any reason to be worried about him being too heavy I mean . . . It's a helluva lot easier to drop muscle than add it.

Wow, that's even more impressive. Of course, I'm assuming that he's not operating at 20% body-fat or something, but I think that's a fair assumption.

Gives us a glimpse into his work ethic, too. I think 6'1" 210 is pretty near perfect just if we're going off of measurements.

I think alot of it is how they are built too. Sid is a nice build on top of 2 tree trunks for legs, with the conditioning and work ethic of a decathlete.

Lets just hop BB is 210 lbs of whey protein, not BL platinum and chicken wings

Ya I was thinking that myself. I am 190 and I could put on 30 lbs by October, but it wouldn't be ideal muscle.

If you could put a conditioning/work ethic like Crosby and Parise have into BB, he would be something special.

If he went balls out every shift like them, I wouldn't have any concerns about him to be honest. TD said he saw improvements in that part of his game this season, where I still had concerns. Maybe if his season didn't end early I would of seen more of what I hoped for.

We'll see how the A treats him and hopefully he focuses on his edge work and agility this Summer.

On the Pens website, he's listed at 6'1"/173 lbs.

So that's pretty cool that he's 210 lbs. now.

Unless you have legs like tree stumps that's probably the max playing weight for a guy 6'1". I rememder Ray Bourque use to be 5'11" at 210lbs but he had tree stumps for legs.
