I definitely wouldn't come out during my playing career if I were gay. Just wouldn't want to deal with the media circus and the moronic portion of the hockey fan base. Probably would still be uncomfortable in the locker room as well despite these great campaigns. Props to the players involved for showing support for a great cause. Hopefully it makes some gays feel more comfortable getting into the game. I think they'll probably still stay in the closet though. It's just easier to do that than deal with everything that comes with coming out.
