The joys of being young. Gotta enjoy your 3 putts while you can handle it. I don't even know if I'm talking about golf anymore.

For me it varies by round. I tend to do one or two things really well in any given round. One or two things poorly. And everything else is nothing special. I've been a lot more consistent as of late though. Done well with my fairway and hybrid clubs. Done very well with my smaller irons and wedges. Hit or miss with mid irons and putting terribly. The fact I can't putt anymore is what is killing my score compared to how the rest of my game is. The one bright spot is after always having a slicing problem for as long as I can remember, I haven't sliced a single shot in 3-4 straight rounds. Although now I've started pulling the ball, but its not out of control, so whatever.

That's a game changing moment right there. I love being ambidextrous. In many regards and not just for internetting.

Sitting outside listening to yellow ledbetter with a vodka and tonic thinking about seeing another Stanley Cup.

Nice.

That's what happened to me for baseball. I used to try to be a right handed hitter when I was 3 or 4. My dad convinced me to be a lefty. I was already throwing lefty, so it does make some sense, especially as I would face mostly righty pitchers when playing. I'm just all backwards because I do different things lefty and different ones righty.

.

well for me being born with out my right hand is what forced me to be a lefty. but in my brain i'm a righty, like when i play soccer i'm a righty.

i'm slightly below average at about everything i think. major problem is i really can't do anything consistently lately.

i'm an interesting case. i'm not ambidextrous but i can do a lot of things most people can't with my left hand. i throw things right handed, shoot a hockey stick left, can switch for baseball but mostly right, tennis right but i also do one handed backhands a lot, golf right handed, etc. however i can write decently left handed and do lot's of random stuff like that that a lot of people can't.

I can hit a baseball both ways, shoot a puck both ways, and throw a lacrosse ball both ways, but otherwise I'm all right handed.

Yeah I would say that's a valid enough reason then. I get the idea of being wired in your head that you're one. I feel like I'm wired as a lefty, but I do enough right handed that it really confuses me sometimes.

Hooray for inconsistency.

I'm just all over the map. I throw left handed. I write right handed. If I'm using a fork or a knife, I feel absolutely lost if I try to use either in my left hand. I put my knife in my right hand to cut something (fork in the left) and when I'm done I put the knife down and move the fork back to my right hand. I feel all out of place if I don't. I golf left handed. I kick with my right foot. Tennis I can do either way. When I was younger I had a right handed forehand and a left handed backhand. Problem was that given my iffy enough fundamentals, my backhand was too much like my baseball swing. I would over hit everything so I forced myself to switch around. Forehand was left handed, back hand was right handed. I'm not good, but if I were to play a tennis match today, I would probably do both, possibly even during one point. I'm the same way with ping pong. Hockey I'm naturally left handed. I taught myself to shoot right handed though. I had a hockey stick when I was younger and I would always just stick handle a ball around my basement, or shoot at a wall. I broke my stick out of frustration one day. Since I didn't skate or play anything organized, my parents weren't going to get me a new one (especially when it was my own stupidity that caused me to break it). My brother had one -- a right handed stick -- so it was either use that, or don't have a hockey stick to play around with at all. So I taught myself that way. I'm better left handed but could use either. Simply put I'm a mess.

I said wet.

He look confused and disgusted at the same time.

that's ridiculous scoot. i use my left hand to hold my knife and my right to hold a fork. most people i know are either the opposite or do the same thing you do, which is weird to me. now that i think about it that might have been the first thing i did that was slightly different.

now that i think about it i kick left too, though the only game i've ever played that involved kicking was soccer in middle school gym class.

I cast fly rod with my right hand, but cast spinner and bait cast left handed. I reel both holding in my left hand and crank with the right. It makes trying out other folk's fly rods troublesome.

I'm the exact opposite. I cast a flyrod with my left and a spinning rod with my right. I can bat and hit a golf ball either way but my power is my left.
