Brian Strait/Robert Bortuzzo (PIT)

What would their values be? One of the two is likely gone this offseason, as both are waiver eligible next season. With the tightly packed Pittsburgh defense, spots aren't easy to grab.

Both Strait and Bortuzzo project to be solid defensive defensemen in the NHL, and it's very likely that both will be regulars next year. Whether that's with the Penguins or another team remains to be seen.

I'd like to swap for a forward prospect of similar value or a pick. Any ideas?

They likely don't have a ton of value. Maybe a mid round pick for each. I like Strait a lot. I think he's NHL ready. I prefer to keep him. Bortuzzo may have a higher ceiling, but he hasn't shown as much at the NHL level.

I figured their values aren't very high. Good point about Strait. My reasoning behind leaning towards Bortuzzo is that we really don't have anyone else in the system like him. At least none that are close to making an impact.

Do you have any ideas for forwards of equal caliber around the league that could be had in a 1-for-1 swap?
