Amazing how the Cats can't put the puck on the net right now.

Pretty good showing by Shawinigan, unfortunately for them, goaltending and that poor clearing attempt by Lesieur cost them the game despite better chances and a 33-25 shots edge.

Ellis was a little nervous this game. Maybe a little rusty from not playing for a while, but not bad overall. Bournival went 14 for 20 on faceoffs.

Samuelsson reminds me of Chipchura.

I was kind of thinking he could be a good second round pick but after hearing him compared to Chipchura I hope the habs stay miles away haha

Sort of like Sutter, you have to question his upside. Does a lot of small things but doesn`t look like he will score a lot in the pros.

Ellis was ok, has lots of poise back there. Bournival IMO will be a 3rd line checker that will chip in here and there

Bournival might not have a lot of offensive potential but you have to love his speed and implication in all zones. He's always involved in the play and covers a lot of ground.

Ellis was ok but not great. He does have some work to do on his agility buy I like the fact that he doesn't panic with the puck when pressured.

Plus the ice was terrible, not really a lot of nice plays.

Still....I am a Bournival fan. And as much as a defensive 3rd liner he might become, he HAS to be much better offensively at that level in clutch moments like the last month of the season, the playoffs, and the Mem Cup. And he's not showing it which is dissapointing...so far. Mem Cup isn't over though.

He scored 30 in 41 games in the regular season but only had 1 in 11 playoff games. I think people are concerned more about the playoffs and not the one Memorial Cup game

Tino and Beaulieu both look strong early on. And this Namestinov(sp?) guy looks like the real deal; fast, shifty, hustler, and great shot

Yet, we see Beaulieu and his "Subban impression" of wanting to do too much. Though, I prefer this a whole lot than guys who are too shy and don't want to show anything. Beaulieu is cocky and it's easier to slow him down than to infuse that kind of hockey into a player.

Beaulieu will be great for us. Oh and if Maatta fell after the top 10, he will be a MAJOR steal. And I just want to say that it sucks we weren't wise enough to sign Gauthier.

Maata is going to be a very good NHL player some day.

Agreed on your evaluation of Beaulieu as well.

Yep, agree with everything here. Great rush by beaulieu at the end, too. It's just too bad that he couldn't get a better shot on net.

Namestnikov went end to end so fast on a PP about halfway through that period that I thought there was something wrong with the feed and it was in fast forward. He looks like an absolute gem so far, so much skill
