Being a Russian but having spent last 10 years living in Finland I HATE these games to death. And it is always like this in each and every WHC...

Finland never quits if it gets dirty... Komarov would only like broken nose and hit back. Its different story against this team, team Russia can outskill our team but who would outsisu them?

But I think Finns are not going to try to start that kind of stuff thought, but u never know about russians!

Hoping for an epic game. I think the finns will need to have a fast transition today. Chances will come when Ovechkin and Semin stumbles on the blue line.
It would be quite hillarious if Granlund stepped up today. Will he make another Z-move?

Finns are masters of what Russians did to Sweden. If Russians draw first blood, it will only backfire. Not sure about Komarov. He might just betray you

Go Finland!

Some of my Finnish-Russian friends feel the same. No matter the outcome, they'll be upset in the end.

I predict that this one will go to OT.

Let's see will Emelin stay on his skates or will he dive to ice when Finns come close.

Russia has all the pressure here, they must win...Finns are just giving them hard time there and let's see what happens.

It will be nice to see will Komarov get under some russian skins...he can BS them in russian language.

Datsyuk making ass out of himself in Finnish tv. Nice looking female blonde tv-reporter from Canal+ asked him questions (Norway game) with criticism and Dats replies: "you probably even didn't see the game...were you watching shopping channel?"

He kids around in interviews all the time. I know it's fun to get offended just for the sake of it but you can go ahead and put your shiny feminist sword back in it's holster.

I know what he is like with his humor but many tv viewers doesn't. Plus in Finland we respect women. No feminist swords. It was joke gone bad...you can't always succeed.

Kuznetsov & Ketov worn a black jersey at the training - so that means they will not play today. kokarev have to be in the 4th line.

btw: kuznetsov has birthday today - he is now 20.

Russia is going to be the toughest opponent so far... I really hope Finland can win them but it's going to be a hell of a job to do. We've been good against team Russia lately which should give our guys some confidence!

I'm gonna be frank, the way I see it, Russia is once again a team full of egomaniacs. The only player that scares me is Malking.

IMO it was a mistake to bring in Ovechkin and Semin and ruining the chemistry of the Russian team.

Everything speaks for a finnish victory, the mental boost they got from the USA win is absolutely huge, they avoided a complete disaster and can now go out there and play with zero pressure on home ice.

The Russian performance was embarrassing in the Norway game and they won largely because of a huge mistake by the Norwegian keeper.

Hoping for another big game by Joe & Sue.

Wholeheartedly agreed.

This is the anthem for today's game:

Because a healthy serving of the Spirit of Talvisota is what we need in order to win. Oh, and a boatload of good ol' sisu.

Now, I've got some beer and will soon put my Finnish jersey on. Hoping for best. This is going to be a good one...

Well Haugen did a mistake on that 3-2 goal, but he also made alot of huuuuge saves. Our goal was bombarded with 45 shots and its no surprise that 5 of em went in. So we norwegians are happy with our goalie
