Backstrom to the Jackets makes sense.

Pretty sure it is Carey Price to the Leafs for Phil Kessel, and the Leaf's 1st rounder.

Eklund is a clown. If hes 100% certain than why isn't it an "e5?" The fact that people still believe in this guy and help line his pockets by going to his website is a complete joke. Total fraud.

We know mason is toast with the bjs. So if eklund is suggesting that he is the one no one is talking about. He is wrong. There are multiple reports out there that the oilers are interested in mason

He got a ton of support from Pens fans even after bad stretches & he still couldn't hold it together. I couldn't imagine how bad it would get with the Habs.

You have to think this means that a team has a few deals in place, and may want to wait to see how the draft unfolds. I.e. Team offering 7th + and team offering 10th+. Team with 10th pick is offering more as the plus, but if someone falls to 7th they like they pull the trigger.

Though that being said, a lot could change by now and then.

I'd be curious to see if this was perhaps someone like Price. As much as I believe the habs won't/will trade Price, I am not the GM of the Habs.

If Bergevin wants to rebuild and thinks Price wants to much money, moving him for high end prospects may be on his agenda.

My sources tell me it is going to be the negotiating rights to Ty Conklin to the Blue Jackets along with some picks for Rick Nash, this solves their goalie issue, you heard it here first!

Goalies that the media has speculated could be moved

Mason
Both vancouver goalies
Both edmonton goalies
Leaf goalies
San jose is rumoured to be shaking up their team after another early lose
Chicago is in the mix
Minny has a problem

What other teams have been openly discussed as being in play

Who hasn't been talked about?

Miller, Luongo, Kipper, MAF have all had rumors swirling around them at some point this season.

Rinne, Lundqvist and Quick won't be moved.

Brodeur is a lifer as a Devil.

Eklund, I am dissapoint. As usual.

Sounds like a guess that if a goalie is traded then he can say he predicted it

Not sure what Eklund means by a "top-end" goalie. Does he mean an elite goaltender? a starter? an average goaltender?

You could even make the case that all goaltenders who are active in the NHL are "top-end" goaltenders in a world perspective since they are playing in the most competitive league. Basically as long as a goaltender is traded, Eklund could claim he was correct just because of the vagueness of his rumor.

Fleury can be such an enigma. On one hand, he'll make insane saves that look like no normal human should make. On the other hand, he'll put the puck in his own net or do something stupid when he goes out to play the puck.

That said, Fleury got way too much crap for how the Flyers series went. I've been watching the Pens since 83'/84' and this team played maybe the worst defense I've ever seen from a Pens team in all that time. Looking at stats, focusing on SOG doesn't tell the entire story. The scoring chances the Flyers generated from no defense from the Pens entire team was the story. Why did the Flyers have almost 60% success rate on the PP? Because they could pass at will. Pens defenders looked like they forgot how to use their stick to break up passing lanes and Orpik is too busy cross-checking everyone.

Long story short, Fleury is a good goalie that got hung out to dry against the Flyers. The onus on that series belongs on the coaching staff.

Aren't rumors wonderful in that sense? Seriously though, I can really see Kipper being moved.
