I looked around for a minute or two, and then it was lights out again. Apparently my mother ran in to get the pain meds filled, and figured I wouldn't wake up till we got home.

My experience was absolute hell, but it wasn't from the pain that was the problem. I've experienced worse. It was my anxiety disorder that threw me into a tailspin from it. But my brother, he cried after having his done. And he never cries. It's different for each person. There are horror stories, but I honestly thought of it as simply being a little uncomfortable for a couple of days. And that's after they had to dig deep into my gums to pull them out. If it wasn't for my anxiety, I would have breezed through that experience.
I had my wisdom teeth come in and had to be pulled when I was... FOUR YEARS OLD! No 4yr old should have to go through that! Traumatized me for life! I fear the dentist like nothing else!

Look at it this way....you were very wise at such a young age. However, Shep probably had his out at the age of 3.

And after getting them pulled, he was rewarded with a new ATV for being such a good little boy.

Thankfully, I still have my wisdom teeth.

Nobody's gonna remove them.

Unfortunately, if those teeth want out, you'll come to a point where you'll beg to have them removed. Wisdom teeth will win every time.

Well... considering I had oversized adult teeth trying to push their way into an undersized child's mouth... I never had a choice.

I barely had room for the teeth I already had... and most of those were just baby teeth!

It's not the case for me.

Also, my parents still have theirs as well. It's a family thing.

It's a never-ending popcorn cycle.

Way to go DC! Now go out and get a job, ya bum.

My parents brought home a box full of baby chickens. Dogs are going nuts. Cute little things. Looking forward to all the cage-free organic eggs I can eat for free.

Also I had no idea that hens didn't require a rooster to make eggs. There's a reason the only class I (nearly) failed was biology.

Really?!?!

Seriously dude... Females produce eggs... males fertilize them. It really is THAT simple!

Yeah I thought that eggs were "babies". Like I said, there's a reason I failed biology You should have seen my girlfriend and mom looking at me.

"Did you get any roosters?"
"No just hens"
"How are they going to have eggs?"

*blank stare*

Also I found the old DVD of my metal band so I'll pop some videos up of me in my pre-hockey days.

Yeah that's what I said a few years ago when the dentist suggested I should think about having them out.

Now I'm in pain.

I too still have my wisdom teeth. They hurt quite a bit when they first came in, but now 5 years later, I still have them, no pain.
When I got them, my dentist here in the States said that they would have to come out. But when I mentioned this to my dentist when I was living in Sweden, he said it was unnecessary. A bit like how 10 or 20 years ago all kids got their tonsils removed.

Driving around on friday, the thermometer in the car said it was an even 100 outside here in Moorhead.

Hey I had my tonsils out exactly 3 years ago.

Honestly I wish I'd gotten them out a lot sooner. I've actually slept a lot better ever since.

Ouch, ouch man. I battled tonsilitis for a number of years until I got my ass healthier, haven't had a case of it for quite a while.

According to the X-rays I got when I last went in to see the dentist, I will only be getting wisdom teeth on the top of my mouth. I'm getting curious if they'll ever come in though because so far I'm not seeing a single sign of any wisdom teeth up there.

Apologies, didn't mean to imply that tonsillectomies were unnecessary, rather that they are much less common than they used to be and done for different reasons. A few decades ago, 6 times as many tonsillectomies were performed as now, and they were generally done to prevent infections, as opposed to now when they are mostly performed to correct sleep obstructive disorders. I guess what I meant to say was that while now wisdom teeth extractions are commonplace, I predict in the future they will be much less common.

(Also, I still have my tonsils as well as my wisdom teeth, so I reckon I'm a bit biased. Don't want people thinking I'm some kind of freak )
