it was really, really unentertainin game after the first period when czechs started to play effective yet boring trap game. But that's what they say: Defence wins...bronze I guess.

I would like a hug from one of your Finnish women. That would cheer me up. Please make it happen. In all seriousness, I do feel bad for you guys, and better luck next year since it is never nice to get embarrassed against Russia, and get embarrassed today in front of the hometown fans. Their forwards just did not deliver when counted. It happens and hopefully you enjoy better success in 2013 along with Canada.

+1. USA didn't do this when they were leading us and i respect them, but it's not wrong to take advance of bad refereeing to gain victory. Referees are to blame not czech players

The rookies Nedved and Krejcik/Mrazek win their first medal. The age difference 20 years

Man, i still did not get over the loss yesterday, this is nice and all, but i wish we could be playing for gold, but like they say, you win some, you lose some, there might have been times when we made the finals where maybe we should not have, this time, the other team got through.

Good luck.

Plek maybe isn't the best captain we ever had, but he's ok and despite of one bad pass, he was one of our best players through the whole tournament. We would have huge problem in group games (DEN, LAT etc.) and against Sweden without him. And he's the guy who plays at WC everytime he can. He's got a new-born, it would be so easy for him to decline this year. I have a lot of respect for him.

Well, in a Canadian's perspective it's tough to feel good when your team get knocked out at the early stage of the tournament.

The Finns just can't win any medal as soon the WHC is held at home, in their country. Abroad they already have won several medals, but not in Finland.

I was at that game. We lost to Great Britain at Olympic Stadium in Helsinki. Though other european nations are doing better now. In Finland american football during the 90's got way much more publicity than these days...when it's literally like nothing now.

In basketball we had a good European Championship's last time and in Volleyball the team can battle against the top teams in the world. We just beat Poland (World ranking 4), and motorsport I would say success definately: Rally (WRC), F1, enduro motorcycles, Boat racing (F1 Powerboat)

Again, it's obvious you're a victim of biased commentary, also, it's not like you did not have a single PP all match long, you had plenty of chances in the third on your PP, yet i don't see you crying about your team's inability to convert one of those chances. Maybe that's how the commentary made you feel, like it's all refs fault ?

I wonder if you saw(or rather, if your PBP guy pointed out) any of the infractions which were not called on finland, or maybe some of the other silly stuff(like the diving call after the slashing call, which was never diving[guy got up immediately])

Also, seeing some canadians running their mouths here, Europe won 2 of 4 best on best olympics, the 2 canada won were played on NA soil, one in Canada, Sochi can't come soon enough indeed, hopefully, someone like Russia can win this time around so that we don't have to listen to this BS for another 4 years after that.
