Which goalies are the biggest showboaters?

Sometimes goalies will make a routine save look like it was an incredibly awesome save. Which ones do that the most?

Henrik Lundqvist does that. And afterwards, he'll open his eyes really wide like he just shocked himself.

Lundqvist overexaggerates almost every single glove save.

Lundqvist makes a simple glove save look like save of the year sometimes

Retired (obviously), but can anyone really beat Patrick Roy and his showboating?

Price. I think all the so-called Habs mystique has gone to his head.

MAF, no one else flashes the glove on such routine saves.

Holtby was my first thought

The guy tries to glove save shots three feet above the net

That's not showboating, he's just not as flexible anymore...

I was thinking the same thing. It got to the point where he would waive his glove around on even routine saves.

Holtby tries to baseball catch every puck that comes his way cause its an effective way to stop the puck if he has the ability to do it. This is an unique skills he has as opposed to many other goalies in the league who haven't played baseball in their lifes. What Holtby does is not showboating.

Luongo and MAF definitely come to mind when it comes to showboating, the puck is already in the glove and they do a windmill after the fact.

Lundqvist?

Guy might be the LEAST showboater in the league. He just catches the puck and never even moves his glove. I think a few posters are confusing him making so many big saves as showboating.

Worst is MaF.

Even if he isn't showboating, it looks like showboating when he catches the puck and thrusts his arm up in the air after every catch.

So while what you say may very well be true, the goaltender on my high school hockey team never did that and he was also one of the best first baseman in our area at the time.

It is Holtby's move with the glove after he catches it, not how he catches it. It seems like he is being a little obnoxious to me even if it isn't the case.

It doesn't really matter as long as he keeps catching the puck.

I had those two in mind when I started the thread, and I'm also a little bit surprised that Lundquist is included. He definitely does showboat but not one of the worst 5.

Brent Johnson, I remember watching one game where he barely saved anything but when he did he let everyone know.
