No. that's not what happened at all. Pang told you something that did not happen
I don't even have the sound on. You can see quick leave the crease and then it was waived off. Rewind your DVR. The linesman was skating into the zone for icing and saw quick out of the crease and waived it off.
I thought we dominated again! If it wasn't for a stupid call by the refs this game would be tied. Smith is not gonna be easy to beat in this game but we just need to keep pressuring!

Yea exactly, as someone mentioned in the main board thread that was a rule that was developed because of Patrick Roy.
He would edge himself out of the crease to play the puck while Icing was STILL being called regardless to slow up the offensive player.
So they changed the rule so that ANY motion made by the goaltender to attempt to come out to play the puck would have the icing waived off.
They were going to call icing until Quick went to play the puck.

Sorry you are wrong.
The goalie has nothing to do with it. EDIT: On this play I mean, not all plays
The bad pass is deflected by the Kings Defenseman. There is no icing at this point. You can see the deflection. It forces the linesman to jump and pivot. That is why he was a tiny bit slow.
He waved it off as soon as he got his balance and Quick was already correctly playing it.
Pang told everyone that Quick played a puck that was going to be icing and the repeated it with a replay. That's just not true.
81.3 Goalkeeper - If, in the opinion of the Linesman, the goalkeeper feigns playing the puck, attempts to play the puck, or skates in the direction of the puck on an icing at any time, the potential icing shall not be called and play shall continue.
If, however, a goalkeeper is legitimately out of the crease in an attempt to go to the players’ bench to be substituted for an extra attacker and in no way makes an attempt to play the puck, the icing should not be nullified under this section.
If the goalkeeper is out of his crease prior to the shot being taken, and simply retreats to his crease making no attempt to play the puck or feign playing the puck, the potential icing shall remain in effect.

Hello is this on? It doesn't matter what Quick did.

I'm not making excuses but I wonder if the Yotes were able to get more sleep? Since they'd likely stay downtown, they could easily walk to the rink. The Kings had the same traffic issues as everyone else, unless they stayed downtown last night.
