When did Mario Lemuiex become super? Was he sent from another planet, and our yellow sun gives him powers? Or did he eat gigantic mushrooms?

Hasn't done anything king-worthy in the NHL yet

But it's caught on, who knows

You are a Devils fan. You are biased against the Rangers. What you determine "King Worthy" for someone who plays for the Rangers is going to be vastly different.

You sir, have an unfathomably deep understanding of these bandwagon fans. I'd like to hear your lecture on this.

If people considered him a "King of the league", ala LeBron James, I would have a problem with this.

Nobody does though. They call him the "King of New York City". He's Swedish so the Tre Kroner connection is also there.

How anyone could have a problem with this is beyond me. Just people complaining for the sake of complaining again.

If I remember correctly, there's a full team of Kings one game away from the SCF

He's been called King Henrik since his rookie season if I remember correctly, why all the fuss about it now?

Other than the Habs being his krytonite, I love this guy.

Good looking, smooth and a kick ass goal tender to boot. What's not to like?

He's in a King in my books

This is what will separate Brodeur and Lundqvist when history looks back on them. Brodeur did an amazing job of making sure Stevens, Daneyko, Niedermayer, and Rafalski were on his backline and that some skilled, competitive players like Arnott, Nieuwendyk, Mogilny, etc were scoring timely goals. And we all know about how many hours Brodeur spent in the coach's office developing and perfecting the left-wing lock strategy. Until Lundqvist can acquire similar talent or can coach his players into being champions he shouldn't be called the "king" of anything. No matter how many Vezina nominations, All-Star appearances, or shutouts he earns.

Can someone please explain the obsession that Devils fans have over Henrik Lundqvist's legal size pads? Should Rangers fans start making jokes about Ilya Kovalchuk's legal yet big curve on his blade?Would that be an effective way of diminishing Kovalchuk's accomplishments? Or would you dismiss it as pure stupidity? It makes no sense to me.
