Dallas Stars don't sign Turgeon with a No Trade Clause, or better yet, just don't sign him.

Bobby Orr and Mario Lemieux do not get consistantly injured and Lafleur isnt in the car accident in 1980 in the middle of his prime.

Those 3 later become the best ever along with Gretzky, Howe, Richard and Beliveau.

I've got 2...

#1: Quebec Nordiques never leave the NHL and get Roy anyway because Peanut is so doubt. The hometown boy brings alot of cups to la Vieille Capitale.

combined to...

#2: Mats Sundin do not become a money b**** and accept to wait his contract to expire in 1995 so he never gets traded and the Nords have Nolan, Forsberg, Sakic, Sundin, Kovalenko and Kamensky on their first two lines with Mike Ricci, Martin Rucinsky, Adam Deadmarsh on the third. Add Drury and Hejduk who were Nordiques picks and you got an UNSTOPPABLE offense.

Joel Otto's ******* soccer style goal in the 7th game of the first round in 1989 is disallowed. Vancouver scores in the second overtime to win the series. The Canucks latter go on to win the Stanley Cup over Montreal in 6 games. Kirk Maclean is awarded the Conn Smythe trophy and allows only 5 goals in the Stanley Cup series.

Another.

Gretzky isn't traded, Steve Smith never scores on his own goal, and Edmonton never miraculously looses to Minnesota in the 1991 Conference Finals.

The Oilers win the 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and (possibly) the 1994 Stanley Cup.

That's a lot more than one event. Sounds more like about five unlikely events happening in a row.

Tom Barrasso stops Daivd Volek's shot in OT game 7 of the 93 playoffs. The pens then go on and win there 3rd cup in a row. The team isn't dismantled, they then go on and win 94 cup and create there own dynasty.

It's one event changed and the effect that occurs due to that one change.

Patrick Roy is never traded to the Avalanche and the Red Wings win cups in 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, and 02.

Bure scored against Richter on his 1994 SC final penalty shot.

Canucks win the Cup in game 6 infront of a sold out crowd at Pacific Coliseum.

How do they win game 6?
They were down 3-2?
Or was Bure's goal in game 5. I'm not really sure.

Steve Yzerman scores (instead of hitting the post or crossbar) against Colorado in game 3 in 1999 to increase the lead to 2-0 in the game to take a 3-0 series lead and go on to beat the Avalanche. Wings go on to win a third straight Stanley Cup.

Bure's shot was in game 4. Had he scored the Nucks may would have won and tied the series 2-2.

Some kid in the Czech Republic named Jaromir Jagr has open heart surgery to actually obtain a real, beating heart.

He goes on to become the game's best player ever.

Weak. His heart only came into question in the last few years, and that was mainly due to personal problems.

Let's see everyone scrutinize your job and see whether or not they can tell when bad **** happens to you.

Saku Koivu does not sustain a knee injury in '96 while leading the league in scoring and goes on to have 150 points that year and then also never gets cancer and is in the top 5 in scoring for 7 years...

We trade Todd Harvey instead of some kid named Jarome Iginla(as Calgary originally wanted) for Joe Nieuwendyk in 1996.

Thornton doesn't get injured against Washington before the playoffs and plays the best he has ever had against the Habs.

Tampa Bay Ownership decides that Lecavalier's time with the team is over and ok's deal with Ottawa Senators for Radek Bonk. Lecavalier goes on to thrive under new system.

Koivu does not get his knee injury and we make the playoffs and there is no need for Damphousse or Turgeon because we have Koivu.
