Dallas/Chicago (Ribeiro)

Chicago needs a 2nd line center who can distribute pucks, and be hard to play against. With one year remaining on his contract, Rebeiro may be a good type of player to bring in, he has been somewhat dissapointing in Dallas, and with Benn playing center at times, he has become a big contract and not much more. They could also try and pry one of the goalie prospects from Dallas in the deal so we have someone to replace Emery. Bachman may be perfect for such a role.

Bolland was great shutting down other teams lines but he is not prooving to be as effective and still has good value to his name. Bickell is cheap but has lapses defensively and cannot really be trusted or consistant physically. Hayes replaces him.

To Chicago
Rebeiro
A goalie(Most likely Bachman)

To Dallas
Bolland
1st overall (18th)
Bickell
A project Prospect (Rendsfelt,Pirri,Lalonde,etc.)

Just creates another hole at 3C. Let's face it, Kruger doesn't have the offensive capabilities to be 2C NOR does he have the size and strength to go against the other team's top line as a 3C. Guy just needs to be on the 4th line...

I'm not sure he looked capable on Swedens third line, but added Slater could help neutralize things.

Why not just keep all of those assets, mainly out first, and move Bolland up to 2c?

I never understand why people make trade proposals involving Bolland. We need center depth. Trading a center for another center is essentially a lateral move. Trading Bolland + for Reibero is a step backwards

Ribeiro would be nice. Ribeiro is a heck of a player at the moment though a bit older. Seeing the name Ribeiro on the back of Hawks jersey would be swell. Boy, I'd like to have Ribeiro as a late ingredient in a cup run too. As for the Ribeiro trade proposed? I don't think Dallas will give up Ribeiro for anything less than an overpayment.

As much as I would love to see Hossa actually have a playmaking center on his line, I wouldn't do it. (at least this deal anyway)

I wouldn't even trade our 1st for Ribeiro

really, I wouldn't take him for nothing

Good player but Ribs is a little punk. Think a more skilled Lapierre.

I like Ribs, he'd be a great #2C for us, but Dallas has made it clear they covet Saad and if they aren't giving Grossman without getting Saad, they certainly aren't trading Ribs without getting Saad. Saad plus No. 18 probably gets it done. That's a tough call. If the team was closer to contending, then you really have to think about it but we're not just one impact player away, more like 3 away. In summary, if we make some big moves in free agency (such as Suter) and are just missing the No. 2 C, AND they add Bachman to the deal to get it done, yes, I make the deal. Doubtful we end up that close though.

That is WAY too much to give up for a one year guy, not to mention like others have said, then we have no 3rd C and our problems still aren't solved. I know some people don't like him, but I wouldn't mind bringing him here to aggitate the other team and get under their skin. Both him and Bolland doing it would be pretty awesome if you ask me.

You are seriously undervaluing Ribeiro. He would put up 70 points as a 2C playing with Hossa.

Too much going to Dallas for him. I wouldn't mind Ribeiro on the team, but the loss of Bolland creates another hole.

I would say offer the Stars our 1st for him

At 1 yr left at 5M I think that would be fair value for both sides

And he is exactly the type of C that could thrive with Hossa ,,, He is a good playmaker/passer

More so a comparison in their attitudes and actions than skill level and play.

Actions and attitude can be overlooked if you score 70 points. See Kane, Patrick.

They could get more than the 1st round pick for Ribs. Imagine if they waited until the trade deadline. Gaustad went for No. 21 overall and a 4th. I can't imagine what the bidding war for Ribs would produce, especially considering more teams would be able to be involved because the cap hit wouldn't be much of an issue at that point in the season.

I think the deal I said, Saad + No. 18 overall, and that's right now as opposed to the TD, would be what it would take. Let's say they add Bachman too.

LOL at Beach being a first line player without earning it.

Leddy as anything but a third pairing defenseman is a joke as well.

Bolland isnt going anywhere. He isnt a problem.

Me too, but that's because a borderline first line center - which Ribs is - is a much tougher get than a third line center.
