It's gotta be Smith. Every other team has at least two legitimate candidates, but Smith is the only reason that Phoenix has made it this far.

There are too many goalies with great stats, so that eliminates all contenders playing that position.

Of what's left, either Brown or Kopitar.

I think people are forgetting just how phenomenal Quick was against the Canucks.

Went with Quick. IMO, he's faced tougher opponents and has stood on his head in every single game of the playoffs. Hasn't had one bad game IMO.

Mike Smith has been unreal. From the games I have seen he's seen the most quality chances and stopped most of them. So I'll say Smith overall.

If we do this by team I'd go:

Yotes: Smith
Kings: Quick (Brown's been really good as well)
Rangers: Henrik
Devils: Kovy

I voted Vermette just so he's not left out, but I really think it's Smith. Don't tell Vermette, OK?

Smith, not even close. I think LA would still be where they are with mediocre goal tending, maybe with 1 or 2 more losses.

Giroux already won the 2012 Conn Smyth. He's the best player in the world.

Should go to Smith or Quick. Anything else is irrelevant.

He wasn't - he didn't need to be. Aside from a few stretches in Games 3 and 5 he was hardly tested by anything other than perimeter and crest shots.

Smith > Quick in 2012 Playoffs.

When Quick faces as many shots and makes as many key saves to keep his team in the game/series (which he has, Smith has just done it much more), then Quick > Smith.

Lundqvist has done the same as Smith.

This is what im saying.

Lundqvist and Smith have been more impressive these playoffs keeping their teams in games and the saves theyre making.

Quick isnt even the MVP of his team or the reason the Kings are where they are. Thats Brown.

Let's all calm down with the Quick slobfest.

He's playing amazing, don't get me wrong, but LA's offense has also stepped up big time averaging 3 goals so far in this year's playoffs.

I'd go:

Smith
Lundqvist
Quick
Richards

It's a tie between Brad Richards, QUick and Smith.

Richards is the only player scoring for the Rangers, and Quick and Smith regularly stand on their heads for their team.
I went with Quick though, simply because he pretty played playoff hockey since February to keep the Kings in the playoff race.

The Rangers average 2.07 GPG and are in the ECF. I think thats a testament to goaltending.

Lundqvist has a 1.68 GAA in 14 games, but hes 8-6 and in the ECF.

Richards is our second MVP thus far, but Lundqvist is undoubtedly first. Richards wouldnt be in the position to make those clutch plays if not for Lundqvist standing on his head making clutch saves on a more regular basis.
