How can you tell? The Rangers shut it down from the drop of the puck. The strategy is to make every game a 0-0 coin toss at worst.

Just ****ing win!

Crash the damn net and make the queen move his extra-large padded ass instead of allowing him just to sit deep in the net.

Maybe if our PK wasn't a complete pile of suck in this series that would be good. Purposely taking a penalty is a BIG gamble. We can't even score on the PP. It's pretty frickin disgusting.

They're the only team I've seen that deliberately begins the game in a shell and then tries to score opportunistically later.

Except this isn't soccer.

Although, to continue the metaphor, if the Rangers are playing Catenaccio, then we must be playing Total Hockey.

They had two days to rest before the last game.

Now back to just one day for each remaining game of the series

We will bend, they will break

It's virtually impossible to score on them.

1) You cant get high-quality shots
2) 1/3 to 1/2 of your shots never even get to Lundqvist
3) You're left with simple point shots, bad angles, and easy saves
4) You get MAYBE 3-5 legitimate scoring opportunities per game
5) If all else fails, Lundqvist is a top-5 goalie in the game

The reason they win so many 2-1 games is because they've created a defensive scheme in which it's nearly impossible to score on. Part of this scheme, is that they barely try to score, because offensive effort increases risk.

Nowhere is this more obvious than on the Rangers powerplay, which is among the least aggressive I've ever seen. I actually dont think it would be a poor idea if the Devils take more chances while shorthanded and try to catch the Rangers by surprise.

Something that should be blown up in a high-quality 16x20 at Kinkos and hung in the Devils' lockerroom.

To be fair, Melrose answers a tweet asking him if the Rangers and Kings meet in the finals which captain would he prefer.

Watch the video and you'll understand why that was the picture - a tweeter tweeted Barry asking if the finals were to be Rangers kings, which captain will have a bigger impact
