Spooner+Chara

Morrow+Robidas+Glennie+Klingberg+Pick

Orrrrrrr

Spooner+Lucic
for
Morrow+Robidas+Glennie+2nd

Lucic would be pretty damn awesome.
So a #3-4 old defenseman, two high-risk high-reward prospects, and a pick nets you a Norris caliber defenseman...?

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this.

Yes, that would complete their Benn marketing campaign.

As far as Roy goes, he's an interesting move. He's kind of like Ribs with all the rumored attitude issues and coaches not being too fond of him. I guess we gambled to see what he was like for a year before deciding whether or not to give him an extension. I wonder whether he's considered a stopgap or a long term solution here in Dallas, could be either.

Eh.
I'll pass on Nash.
Gonna be way too expensive.
I'd rather them throw money at Doan.
He is free.

So Morrow and Robidas are looking like a guarantee?

It just makes sense that they would move Robidas and Morrow. They've obviously commited to a culture change and a youth movement. Why stop at trading Ribs and Ott? Morrow is a third/fourth liner that's making $4.1 million. Get something for these two while they still have some value. I believe many GM's around the league would love Robidas as a second pairing D.

I don't think I could handle it if Ott and Morrow were traded on the same day.
I'm already having trouble.

Nieuwy is proving to us that he has balls and aint afraid of change. Hopefully he can make more trades like the one today. Meaning us winning the deal or getting the better of the deal

I'm going to have to counter that with a Kopitar for Bogosian.

That's way too crazy, Cin.

What do you think lines down there in Austin will be next year?

Im not so sure about Morrow getting traded now.

With Ott, Burish and Souray gone we have lost a lot of physicality.

And if you look at our forward core now, only really benn using his strength.

Whitney, Roy, Eriksson, Ryder, Fiddler, Eakin, Smith, Wandell

not many physical players there. And i think you need at least 1 or 2 in a line up.

Are there any free agents we could get to improve this on the 4th line?

Without a , it is can be tough to tell around here, and there is enough craziness going on to scramble my radar.

Oh man I have no idea dude. I'll be at training camp again, so I'll have a lot to dish on all the players.

Definitely Hoping to see a Nemeth-Lukowich pairing though. I REALLY hope Lukowich re-ups.

Out of curiousity ... Joe said yesterday that they made a significant offer to Parise's camp but were told they were going in another direction. I know it is highly unlikely and may not be what most are looking for ... but do we know if we've offered Suter anything?
