Pretty good mock. Only pick in the top 10 that I really disagree with is Teravainen to the Ducks. Other than that my only gripe is the Leafs using their 2nd rounder on Kosmachuk, I think either Vasilevski, Nieves, Pearson or Pokka would all be better picks for them there.

Dumba over Teuvo, Pokka and Severson are good picks.

If Pouliot is available at 22 for the Pens I'd like to see them grab him just cause I feel he is the BPA. Not out of the question either since Ray Shero has said he goes BPA in the first and he definitely isn't shy of defensemen.

Bruins have one pick in the the first 2 rounds of a weak draft and they go WAYYYYY off the board for a LW? I just don't see it.

If Skjei, Koekkoek and/or Finn are available one of them doesn't make it by the Bruins who need to add D to their cupboard.

Bozon isn't really off the board at all at 25th, chances are he'll go late 1st or early 2nd.

Would prefer Gally over Grigs, but landing Frk is great, too.

Sucks we just miss out on Zharkov, too.

Any chance Zharkov drops a couple spots to Pittsburgh in the 2nd round?

Especially with Ceci is on the board, I'd be shocked if the Sens take a Forward with a much bigger need for D prospects.

Ceci, Finn, Thrower would likely be headed to Ottawa before Grigensons

Why would Carolina take Rielly? We already have Pitkanen, Faulk, McBain, Murphy and Sanguinetti in the system. The last thing we need is another offensive defenseman. The only way I see us taking a defenseman is if Dumba falls to #8.

If the draft falls this way, Faksa will likely be the pick.

Exactly I think the last thing Ottawa needs is another centerman. I guess having center depth is always a good thing but we have alot of them at the moment.

It's clear that we need another top defensive prospect especially with the graduation of Cowen and the Rundblad trade. Our D has some old parts (Kuba, Gonchar, Phillips) and our top 2 defensive prospects are Mark Borowiecki and Patrick Weircoch.

Give us Ceci or Lindlholm and we'll be alllll good.

With Shero's time in Nashville, this makes sense and contemplated having Pouliot there. Thanks Valarukar.

Yup no problem. I'm sure they have seen a lot of him too since they drafted Morrow in the first last year, but that could also mean they like him less than other people.

I don't see Dallas taking a small center anywhere in the draft. I also don't think Bystrom is going to drop to the end of the 2nd round.

Well in, grits! Thanks.

Who thinks a goalie (or 2 or 3) gets drafted in the 1st round?

Well in SensForLife - you speak with suck conviction!

I could see the Sens drafting a "D" as well, but the draft is not the only way to rebuild that prospect depth - keep in mind how long it typically take dmen to develop. Ottawa has been spoiled by the dominant rise of EK65!

Seriously though, I think they consider a D here, but strength at the center position and what Zemgus brings to the rink is desirable by many a GM.

I like Wilson. But they only grab him if they snag some D help before the draft. But he is what they need, more size to attack the net and bang along the walls.

In the battle of the Swedish ice-"Bergs", doe anyone think Sebastian CollBERG has any chance to get drafted earlier than Filip ForsBERG?

Hear ya loud & clear, HockeyPete - Wislon performed well at the combine as well, which I guess is not too surprising.

I would prefer Dallas take Girgensons if he's available at 13th, but Määttä is okay too, I guess.

I also doubt we take 3 centers in the first two rounds. As FF said, GMJN has shown a preference for larger players, so I doubt we go after a smaller guy. We'd probably go BPA, and I don't feel like we made that choice for either pick in the 2nd round with this mock.

Definitely respect the opinion and rationale LatvianTwist. Nonetheless, as mush as I like Zemgus I would still take Maata ahead - he'll likely even garner top 10 consideration.

I think people get caught up in dimensions all to often. Gemel Smith is one of the players that I don't think his height will hinder him at the next level. He's an ice warrior. Dane Fox is 6'0" and I think is the BPA where he went in the mock. Off ice incidents are only reason he falls there or beyond.

grits: have to ask - how would you have had the Ducks take?

Love for Murray to still be there at #4. Also like Matteau in 2nd rd for Isles. Though I'm hoping Frk is still there....think he will be a player.

Good mock
