I'd like those picks for the Caps...but not if Trouba or Reinhart is available.

Gaunce an offensive forward? everything read about Gaunce and everything that I've seen myself leads me to think he'll be another Brandon Sutter type player, definitely not an offensive guy. Can't see them taking Gaunce if Grigorenko is still on the board.

I'd much rather the Leafs stay at 5 and take Grigorenko than trade up for Galchenyuk. Seems like a huge waste of assets.

Edmonton moves back from #1 to #5 and get 3 - 3rd rounders, and 2nd rounder and Franson. Absolutely no way that is happening.

I like the trades, it makes sense for us, but the picks are pretty brutal. Kerdiles can be had at 36, and if he's gone the Ducks could find someone close in skill at that spot. Also Ceci is too similar to Fowler, Schultz, Vatanen, and Visnovsky. Bet on them taking Trouba if he's available. Then I'd say Girgensons, Aberg, or Finn instead of Kerdiles.

I don't see the Oilers trading fot the 5th pick and risk having the Islanders grab Murray, I think at most they trade to select 2nd or third, even Columbus might draft Murray at 2 IMO.

Even if those trades do happen, why in the hell do the Islanders take Dumba over Murray?!

Why would TB give up 2 1st's to move up to get a player who could be there at 10? We also don't need any more 2nds, if anything we'd use one of the 2nds to move up to 7-8.

Agreed.

Don't think Burke trades up to take a guy that blew his knee out last year, especially when he can have his pick of the litter at #2.

TBH, i can see the oilers trading from 1 to 2; however, it will take more than that. Also, they wont be trading down to 5, they want Murray.

Why would the Blue Jackets move up? We would be perfectly happy to get Ryan Murray. If Edmonton wants him bad enough they can take him at #1 or trade down and hope he falls past us

Haha yes. Moving thee spots in a non-consensus is not worth that. Notice Edmonton gets the pre-lottery guy they originally wanted at 5.

Agreed; it seems very unlikely that Edmonton would manage their assets this poorly.

And as for the Blues' pick; I like Matteau a lot, but I believe that they'd go with either Skjei or Hertl first if they're still on the board at 25th overall.

Tampa would not make that trade. We'd be just as happy with Ceci without giving up another first.

Edmonton begins to vomit into the phone so forcefully that some of the vomit actually is transmitted through the phone line and spews into the Toronto GM's ear and face.

No way Sharks take another defensemen with the 1st. It will be a forward, preferably a winger, for sure.

"non-concensus" to us doesn't mean that a given team doesn't love a given player.

Toronto gives up spare parts to ensure their choice. Hardly getting hosed - Franson is offered up in most Leaf threads.

I don t see how both Murray and Dumba fall to 4 but if they did I would bet the Isles take Murray over Dumba
