Probably most haven't heard of Mad Mel Angelstad because of his limited time in the NHL (Caps , Stars ) He mostly played in the minors IHL UHL , etc. He played for my hometown Motor City Mechanics (now defunct) during the lockout where he retired and went back home to western Canada and became a firefighter . This guy had some clubs at the end of his wrists and surely would have made his mark if he had a regular job in the NHL .

Larionov and Forsberg tussle that preceded the Wings?Avs brawl in March 1997.
I thought it was kind of funny. Refs were trying to make sure Larionov didn't get killed(For those unaware, he's a very small guy)let McCarty jump turtle.

for me it was the Brett Hull -Mike Modano fight. I know they both only received roughing minors but they did drop the gloves and go at it.

After time stopped punching Selänne's knees and left running.. I'd consider Selänne the clear winner.

Sergei Samsonov v Sami Kapanen

Each had 1 regular season and 1 pre-season fight in their entire careers.

Sergei Samsonov did better than what I thought he would, he landed some decent shots.

The one thing about Zednik that I wasn't in love with though was that he only fought non-fighters or at least guys who were really bad at fighting. I don't really consider guys like Adam Foote or Scott Hartnell fighters. You almost have to like him now or you sound like a jerk but I admit I did not like Zednik at all when he was a Capital his first go around.

That's your favorite fight? What, the only thing you like better than that is offsides?

I was exaggerating. It's just like seeing Obi-Wan battle Darth Vader for me, you know. My REAL favorite fight is any good goalie fight.
