Can't complain too much as a Kings fan. Those guys gave 100% last year.

Maybe Joe Corvo with his legal problems and all. He also makes a lot of turnovers. However, I do think he can improve in that area.

Aaron Miller. I really like him when he's healthy, but right now, he's overpaid and too injury prone.

Dagenais isn't all that bad. He has the scoring touch Montreal needs. And he's getting btter and better by the day. His skating and work ethic have really improved

Brisebois is as good as gone already, so I dunno if he counts.

Failing that, then I'd be happy to exchange Ribeiro for a player I could respect more.

What about Brian Savage? What has HE done for the Yotes lately? And the Yotes still owe him a ton of cash.

He can be replaced by a number of players (Taffe, Sjostrom, Chimera, Cleary, Kolanos, Nash) Pretty much anyone on the roster who makes less money. He was a horrible signing and a player who shouldn't find another job in the league. He's AHL material now.

I agree Boucher needs to be upgraded but Johnson is a siev too. As a 1-2 punch the Yotes should just play the hot 'tender and wait for LeNevue to develop.

LeClair has done a lot for the Flyers, but he is not justifying his contract anymore. But, I doubt Clarke is bringing him back anyways.

I like what Lapointe brings to the Bruins, but for what they pay him ($4 million per year) he's not worth it. I'd love to have him at a smaller contract, about $2 million, but until that happens, he may need to go for some younger, more skilled talent.

Domi, Belak, Berg

the departure of Reichel and Renberg proves there is a god. The fact that they were here for Markov + Berezin proves he has a sense of humour.

Alexander Khavanov. Long ago I tired of him pretending to be a defenseman. Soon after that I tired of him shooting wide right of the net constantly.

He's 26 and there's only so much room for improvement. I agree that he can stay for the meantime, but don't forget, Kosts, Perez, Pleks and Higgs are all knocking at the door and I wouldn't mind seeing Dags trampled by them as he slyly opens the door.

I am actually a big fan of Yashin's, but I would like to see him gone if only to clear his massive salary and allow the Isles to spend a little $$$.

I also wouldn't get teary at the sight of Shawn Bates going.

Off the team in that I don't much like them?
Bryan McCabe, Ed Belfour, and to a small degree Alexander Mogilny.

Off the team in that I feel their spot can easily be replaced by other players already under contract and they don't help the team?
Nathan Perrott.

I'd like to get rid of Denise Arkhipov and maybe Greg 'shoot it in the pads' Johnson

Isibister for me. The Oilers depth on the wing is simply too deep to keep him and his 1.4 mil. With Smyth, Torres, and Moreau ahead of him, he wouldn't get a lot of ice time anyway.

Even though Igor Ulanov was very good for the Oilers last season, it may be his time as well. He's 37 years old and his game could plummet at any time. The fact that there's a lockout doesn't help him either.

Cory Cross I'd actually keep. He's always played well since becoming an Oiler, but with his 1.1 mil contract I can see why people would want him gone. I don't want to get rid of him because I want up and comers like Semenov, Lynch, and Woywitka to fight for a roster spot instead of being handed one.

Laraque, gone. He looked very promising a few years ago, but since then his mediocre play (except in the playoffs) does not make him worth his salary. Again, we have too many guys on the wing for him to be kept.

If the Oilers ever manage to get a good offensive centre, Marty Reasoner's time in Edmonton could be up. To me, he turned the corner in his career as an Oiler but due to injuries he could never get the ball rolling. It's too bad because he's a solid player for us when healthy.
