Well, the Kings could always blow the 3-0 series lead and nobody in LA has to worry about it.

Should I be nervous about this game/series? Someone give me confidence! Cuz I know the odds are in our favor but I'm never at ease until we are in the next round!

Anyone else think we are due for another OT game? If Stoll nets the winner I may have to get a jersey even though he may not be here next year.

Better than the alternative of our players having tee times this time of year!

That is utter *********. Starting a bit later wouldn't affect much back East, but that 5 start is going to kill us in LA. Really going to be fun leaving work at 3:30. I'm sure it will go over well when I say I have to take off to get to Staples for hockey. **** you, NHL! Rage!

They do this every year for every sport. They want the biggest TV viewership and starting the games at 9 eastern isn't really a smart thing when that is where the biggest part of the audience will be coming from.

I am here to make sure that the Kings win. My participations in the God Damn Thread are essential.

I predict the rise of Monster Richards who will display what is required to win.

I understand the reason, I just don't see how pushing it back to 5:30 or 6 would make that huge a difference when it comes to least coast viewing, but it sure would make a huge difference for us.

I will make a prediction too: tonight is the night the Kings power play gets going and they ride it to the victory!

A game starting at 8 on the East coast makes a HUGE difference over one that wouldn't start until 9. Most people on average go to bed around 10-10:30 I would assume

I look forward to you being correct.

I also look forward to saying farewell to our Pacific brothers, the Coyotes. Good fans but they need to get the **** out of our way.

I like the 5:00 PST start times for the SCF.

Let's hope it's a problem for some fans (meaning that the Kings would be playing in the frickin' Stanley Cup FINALS!!!!!)

I got my skates sharpened today and told Vic that I have been a Kings fan so long that I was a fan of his.

are you seriously complaining about having to leave work early?

For a Stanley Cup Finals game?

I think it makes a huge difference. I'm not a network programmer but the biggest viewing audiences are in primetime (8pm-10pm) I believe. Monday Night football used to start at 6pm on the west but they even changed that a few years ago.

I'm glad they decided on night games for Saturdays regardless of the Kings are thre or not. Day games suck. I want something to look forwrad to at night, not something to wake up for.

Oh, coach. That's why Sutter recently looks better.

Quote:
Coach Darryl Sutter about how he borrows belts from Mike Richards and sometimes borrows ties from players.
“When I steal their ties, I tell them they’ve got $800 ties on, and $300 suits.”

Um, yes? Obviously my priority is to go the games, as I'm going to leave work, but having to take off early isn't exactly a plus, let alone doing it multiple times in a week to go see a game. It won't matter in the long run, but it is kind of a slap in the face for us loyal west coast fans. Damn east coast bias I'm just hopeful that I'll have nothing huge to work on at that time.

I suppose you guys are right in regards to EST start times, but I'm selfish and would prefer they have to stay up a little later

As a fan watching from Europe, those 2 hours are huge. It's the diff between a 2 AM and 4 AM start.
