I got shut out of the AMEX pre sale too.

Ended up getting a lower bowl ticket for $595 on eBay. Pretty good deal.

I had my whole staff on right on it from 955 trying for Game 4 which I don't have. Nada.

You're right, I bet they are getting so many requests now for season seat deposits towards next season and have to hold some seats for those new potential season seat holders. Guess that is one of the perks of dropping a hefty deposit.

It was Willie Wonka time for them if they got the ticket. I'd pay and they'd go with me and most of them are Kings Fans (not that it's a job requirement, but it doesn't hurt!).

I'm pissed I didn't renew but my increase was insane, oh well. I can just watch and potentially sob from my couch.

those prices are insane! people make too much money out there :p .... I was just thinking that when the Ducks played the Devils in the finals ..2003? We drove up, to cheer on the Ducks, for a game. Maybe we would do it again. (go to a game in Jersey). The tickets won't be near what they are going for out there. If Rangers win, forget it. Too expensive.

lol....sorry. I cheer on LA teams overall for California but living on the east coast, I tend to cheer on all California teams ...... because it's west coast vs east coast. (except Carolina).

The deposits aren't even that hefty at 5%

You're not even obligated to buy season tickets.

You can drop the deposit, then you can "change your mind" and use your deposit money on single-game tickets throughout the season.

This is what I did. I'm gonna look around at select a seat to see if anything I like is in my price range. If not, I'll just cancel.

Kinda glad I did, if this is the last year of steep playoff discounts. I'd pay more for sure, but I'm afraid prices will skyrocket. Going to ask my rep about this before renewing also.

Is this the wrong time to brag about us Die Hard seat holders paying $30 per ticket for the finals?

They still have those? Wow, I remember them starting those offers as far back as 2001 or so.

I'm sure it'll be the last year of steep discounts. The Kings charged me $160 each for my SCF seats in 214 and I only had a 10 game ice pack this year. That's highway robbery compared to what they are going for online now.

The signs are already there. There is NO playoff priority for any of the mini plans next season so I'll go from $160 seats to no seats at all. Half season seat holders only get playoff priority to ONE home game per round. (That effectively means there's no incentive at all to buy a 10 game plan next season.)

You have to buy a full season to get playoff priority to every home game - the same benefit all ticket plan holders got this season. Now it's only for full STH'ers.

Looking at the Kings website just now - Half-season and all mini plans for next season are already all sold out. Only full season seats are left.

Hoping NJ closes this out as that will probably be the cheapest ticket. MSG prices will be through the roof on the secondary market and not even worth it. Looking to go to Game 5.

I bought Die Hards the year after the lockout and I had seats in the 4th row of the upper deck. All of the people around me (including STH's) were paying twice my ticket price after the 2nd year. I'm sure I'd be looking at a steep increase if I had continued. The year after the lockout, they added a bunch of new "die hard" tickets and I got my in 314 row 4 on the aisle for $11 a ticket and I think it was $12.50 when I cancelled 2 years ago.

My plan too. Seven game series with a NJ victory would suit me down to the ground.

That's the secondary reason I am rooting for the Devils. Rags tickets will be ridiculously hard to get. Devils will at least possible.

Go Kings!

I just gotta give major props to all the season ticket holders. You guys really put your money where your mouth is and it's finally paying off, good on you!

I've made a choice to live in Orange County and just can't get to many games anymore so getting season seats just isn't feasable. On the bright side, at least I don't have to live in LA anymore.

I'm in the same boat (literally, I also had a 10 game pack in 214 this year). Glad to have seats going into the finals, and while still expensive, it's better than the stubhub/ebay prices right now. And to think I almost didn't renew this year *phew*

I am paying $50 per seat in the bleeders for games 3 and 4, and also $50 for game 6 if there is one.

I have the option to buy two additional seats for one game tomorrow, but I am going to pass, probably, as those prices I am sure will be through the roof.

I wonder what playoff ticket prices will be like next year...

There sure are alot of us that need tickets and would be willing to pay whatever you got them for (and probably a lot more).

I received season seats as a gift in the 2001-02 season and then paid for them myself in 2002-03 over in Section 306, Row 2. 2003-04 was when they introduced the Die Hard sections so I moved back 5 rows so I could get two tickets for the price of 1 in the second row...I haven't moved since.

I don't know if they still offer them or not. After this current run, there is no need to offer them to potential new season ticket holders as those seats can probably be offered at normal prices. I'm just continuing to ride the wave as seats are only going up $1 next year ($12 or 12.50 a ticket) and SCF tickets this year are only $30 a piece. Pretty effing sweet.

Now for the possibly exciting part...I'm thinking of maybe selling my extra to one or both of the first two games. I've got bills to pay and as an enterprising young man, this is a good opportunity to recoup my season seat expense for this season. I already said I paid $30 but that doesn't matter...I'd be looking for large dollars if I were to sell. I'd be looking at pretty much what the market rate is but would probably go lower for an established poster. If I'm not making big bucks then I'd rather have someone I know go with me. My mom and sister are 3-1 this playoff run with my mom being there for the only Game 4 win. You better believe one of them will be asking to go so I wouldn't be inclined to even sell for the $250 face value. If anyone is interested, PM me and throw out a dollar figure. Seat would be Section 306, Row 7, Seat 7.

Got my tix (200 level) about 30 minutes after the game Monday on Stub Hub. Paid twice what I paid for Game 4 vs. the Blues.

Just checked out what tix remained in that section. The price was double what I paid Monday night.

Good luck to you ticket hunters.
