What's really irritating is that the Yotes got far more breaks in this game and yet everyone is focusing on a clean hit just before the game winner. All because the Coyotes won't stop whining about the officiating.
I still find it laughable that the Coyotes organization feels the team was jobbed out by the officials because of a conspiracy to hold them back "all year" (Mike Smith).
Yeah, because having the league-owned team make it to the Finals so they can close a potential buyer is less important than getting LA to the Cup.
If I were a Phoenix fan, I'd be complaining about my team not showing up for the first 3 games, not about the officiating. That being said, I would also be proud that my team made it to the final four. It was a great season for the Coyotes, and even though elimination stings, that is what should be remembered.
I'm sick of hearing everyone complain about officiating.
to be fair, I did feel yesterday was rotten officiating, but it was evenly distributed. Kings got away with some (I don't know why Coyotes are silent about Voynov), but they got the short stick too. And I saw the same with Phoenix. So ya, I agree, I don't feel there is any need to complain on either side.
smith icing the puck on the PP leading to the short handed goal and hazal taking the penalty to ruin a minute of 5 on 3 PP for the Coyotes.
I just dont see where Coyotes fans are complaining though.
In general I think the Coyotes fans are showing a lot more maturity and composure than the actual players.
As fans (as in "fanatics") we're supposed to be the crazy ones complaining about reffing bias, not the professionals.
With the Brown hit, it's a chaotic, heartbreaking way to lose. The officiating wasn't great at times, but it hardly favored one team throughout the series.

agreed, but apparently some fans in the stands werent very mature with the trash :X

No, throwing trash on the ice and at the players is not cool, though they're hardly the first to do it. I was mainly referring to fans here at hfboards.
Also, outside of the 3rd period, the refs missed about 5 calls to the Kings including a breakaway trip.
That was my impression of the game as well. Coyotes received some favourable refereeing when you look at blatant penalties overlooked throughout the game. Only when you consider imaginary slights, like the bodycheck during the whistle with incidental upper leg contact and Smith freaking out over them not blowing the play dead after he lost his glove (not a rule), does the reffing even remotely go against Phoenix.

For many in Phoenix that was the first time they paid any attention to that team. The organization and all their players would have been wise to lose with grace and talk about how great of a year it has been, at the very least they could have done it for their fans. Making the final 4 is nothing to be ashamed of.

Phoenix is not a very good team on paper. Them making the final 4 should have been a huge treat for the fans, similar to when Montreal made the conference finals a few years ago, which I enjoyed immensely at the time. This was a year of a lot of firsts for them and instead of showing any pride in the team when they lost, the players took it upon themselves to try to ruin the occasion for all involved.
I'm sick of people complaining not enough penalties were called in a game. If your team really was better, they would win by scoring even strength. The better team doesn't rely on power plays to win games.
plus the worst missed call of the game, was when the Kings were on the pp in the 3rd and Brown was clearly tripped going in on a breakaway. Should have been either a 5 on 3 or a penalty shot. Then he was blatantly tripped again a few minutes later on what would have been a 2 on 1

this is the funniest part about last nights game. The trip on that breakaway was incredibly obvious, but OEL got away with it. There were 4 or 5 other plays where even Pang was saying how they got away with an obvious penalty.

Far from a Yotes or Kings fan but it was a pretty blatent knee on knee by Brown. Far from a clean hit.
