Every time I hear this song, it brings me back to working at a local pharmacy back in the early 1980s. The owner was going through a messy divorce and would play this song on his record player (look it up, kids ... it existed) over and over again, all the while singing along (horribly off-key, to the extent that the sung was actually sung on-key).
You know, watching the rags play, I wonder if this style might seriously shorten the careers of some of their players. You can't keep playing that way every season, can you? Eventually you'll just fall apart...
There is no questioning that it is hard on the players. Injuries will occur, and they could be pretty serious, that goes for the sport in general, but this style of play ramps that up. I don't think there is any doubting this.
Because of this I see them having a hard time attracting high profile FA's. Think Zach wants to jump into that?
We will be doing the league justice by beating these rag's, and showing that there are better ways to win hockey games.
I don't see tonight as a must win. Big game, obviously, but not must win.
No, literally the only must win game would be games 6 and 7 for either team...But it would help an awful lot if we come back home with a chance of sealing the deal. If we lose, they have all the momentum and all the advantages coming into our building. If we win, we can finish them on Friday on home ice.
Stick to the game plan & score first. The longer the game stays 0-0, the more it favors the Rangers. Get that forecheck going early and don't let up. That's a tired team over there, but Lundqvist always give them a chance to win. Let Go Devils!!!!
