Rangers are waiting to fold if they're forced into another elimination game. Yes, they have enormous heart but they're beat up. Secondly, I think they are intimidated by the devils at this point , in that NJD is not the same team they saw in the regular season. Even in Tortorella's last press conference, you could see that he's exasperated. If the devils do not beat themselves, they have this.

I thought their practice was only 15 minutes yesterday because Tortorella kicked them off the ice?

You're probably right about that. He's definitely pushing a lot of them way too hard. And that's fine for the plugs, but it makes you wonder if the guys with actual careers will stop listening to him.

Honestly, the Rangers having 3 wins scares the hell out of me because they have a huge knack for winning ****** games that they have no business winning. Them being up 3-2 going back to our building is pretty terrifying to me, they'll get some flukey **** that the don't deserve, like they always do.

We need to get in Lundqvist's head early. A few quick goals and we got this.

Exactly. Keep that fore check going and get that first goal. Let's go Boys!

Execution is key. We know we'll get chances, we need to finish on them and get Lundqvist rattled early. The longer the game remains in a scoreless tie, the more likely they are to win. They have that rope a dope perfected.

If the Devils score in the first 10 minutes, I think the Rangers are in big trouble.

Just GET A LEAD at some point, even a 1 goal lead, and the Rangers are a completely different team. They go from uber-confident to panicking kindergarteners.

Well, that and they have to start releasing their wingers earlier from the defensive zone and higher up the boards. They can't collapse the slot as much as they do. The game opens up in turn. The second period of game 4 was the most open ice seen in the series.

Getting a puck behind Lundqvist early on would be huge, that`s for sure.

One thing I`ve never liked about him as a goalie was his fragile ego. Gotta take advantage of that.

I will never forget how we got under his skin during the QF game at the Olympics. Even when the Swedes scored I was confident we will win the game because of him.

He definitely got better since that, sure, but his personality hasn`t changed a bit.

Lundqvist is a ********* and has a very fragile ego. After his game 3 shutout he said he could have played better. Who the **** says something like that after a shutout? It's time to put Lundqvist and this ****** team away.

Lundqvist is the only thing keeping them in. Break him, and we've got it.

As they get more and more fatigued, they'll give up more and better chances. Then it's just a question of execution.

It`s a crucial game. Confidence gainer or breaker. Momentum is very important.
Has momentum played any role in this series? Did it play role vs Florida? In any of the Rag's previous series?

The game is important, Im sure the Devils are playing to win. But it's not "must win". That phrase is so overused.

Wait I thought Prust was a 4th liner? An article on the bleacher report says that he's going to be the one who's supposed to lock down Parise. http://*******************/articles/...-info-and-more

He also said the Rangers were going to score 4. Wouldn't that be a first for the postseason? Bold prediction.

It hasn`t yet. So what? The ECF series is tied at 2, when, if not now? It`s the mindset you have to have, simple as that.

You seem to underestimate the importance of this game. We can`t afford that.

Speaking of fatigue, MZA and Horseface might be in.

Volchie and Carter have a job to do.

Actually you know what, I should have read more before posting this

After a hard-fought battle in New Jersey, the Rangers will come out swinging in Game 5. If they can solve the Brodeur riddle early, New York will put the Devils in a whole too deep to get out of.
Nice journalism. Confusing hole with whole? I'm surprised he didn't write "The Devils one they're last matchup on Monday."

To me it is a "must win" because I don't think they can win 2 elimination games in a row if they lose tonight. This isn't against an inexperienced Panthers team with shoddy goaltending that they can fool around with.

I want Dubinsky to play. I want him to see first hand how whining and pretending to be a tough guy don't phase the Devils.
