Downloaded some Infamous/vampire add on...can't remember the name. Managed to 100% it in only a few hours, so now I don't know what to play. I was hoping to grab something while I was on holidays, but have no idea what to get. Haven't bought a game since xmas.

Seconded. Story is getting interesting and of course the fighting is a blast.

Thinking of getting a car game...Shift 2 or Hot Pursuit?

Yeah, as usual the battle system is amazing and requires some skills if you play at higher difficulties... And yeah, you need patience while you go through the childhood part, since it can be boring, but afterwards, I liked it. I wish I could've started the game over and over to get all the trophies, but had to give it back to my friend.

I thought the childhood part was cute. I'm up to 45 hours and I fear the end is near

Anyone have Arkham City? How long is it roughly? Seeing TDKR makes me want to get it. I LOVE open world games.

Addicted to Fallout New Vegas. Currently on my 6th playthrough.
Picked up Ace Combat 6. Okay I guess but it reminds me too much of that stupid Hawks game right now.
Completed Half Life 2. Great game, graphics are a bit dated in certain respects. Gravity gun is boss.

I have to ask this since progression of games series isn't always positive. Have you played DotP 2012? Is 2013 better?

Never played 12 so I have no idea. From what I can tell though you still can't fully customize decks so if that was a deal breaker in 12 then that's still the same here.

I had a couple of coupons from Gamestop so I picked up a few games the other day. With a Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupon I got The Witcher 2, Dark Souls and Two Worlds 2 (this last one was a wildcard. I wanted Uncharted 3 but they were sold out). I also redeemed a coupon to get Arkham City for 24.99. Here are some brief thoughts on each game so far:

Arkham City: I've played this one the most, but still only a couple of hours in. It's a lot of fun and definitely feels more open than Arkham Asylum. Other than that though, it's almost identical to AA. Combat, presentation, gameplay...feels a lot like its predecessor. I think I need to spend a little more time with it to really form an opinion, but so far I'm not seeing why this game gets 90% or higher in almost every review.

Dark Souls: I've never been a hardcore gamer so I'm a little out of my element with this one, but I do love fantasy RPGs and Dark Souls is just that. It's very difficult and extremely punishing, but the game looks and plays great. This is a game that requires a lot of patience, quick reflexes and a bit of strategy. You can't just run in to a group of foes head-on swinging your sword blindly. That will get you killed in under ten seconds. You really need to time your attacks, blocks and dodges and strike at the right moment. My only complaint is the lack of a pause button. When you pull up the menu, the game is still going. This seems like it could be an issue if I ever need to eat or take a dump or something in the middle of a session. I also hate not being able to manually save my progress because I hate replaying levels, but for a game this fun I think I can get over it.

The Witcher 2: I've only played the opening tutorial but wow, this game is gorgeous. Controls are a bit tricky to master and the menu is extremely cluttered and confusing, but in terms of presentation and gameplay I like it so far. The combat is very satisfying. I'll need to get a bit further into the story before I can rate it, but if the tutorial is any indication I think I'll love this game.

Two Worlds 2: I haven't gotten around to playing this one yet. Been too busy with work and checking out these other games. TW2 is a game I've been researching for a while now simply because I love open world RPGs and I've already played the best ones. This game probably won't blow me away and, from what I've read, it has plenty of technical issues. But the combat looks fun and it's a big game that you can sink lots of hours into. Plus, I got it for free, so even if I hate it it's not a big loss. If any of you guys have played this game I'd love to hear some feedback on it.

Just let my buddy borrow it, after about three other friends tried and returned it basically saying "**** this game."

Their loss!

Anyway, I'm giving Dragons Dogma another run, after getting bored with it 11hrs in. Apparently it's just a slow starter, because I'm really having fun with it now. I've explored a lot more, and finally tapped into the quests that actually send you on a respectably lengthy adventure. I enjoy the travel on foot, makes it feel more real to me. Brings about questions like, "How far away should I explore, the sun's starting to go down. Do I even have oil in my lantern if night does fall?"

Too good. Glad I didn't turn it in, and had some patience.

After finishing Tales of Graces f, I started a new Mass Effect 2 file. It's a FemShep that has a heart of gold but can't help making bad decisions during crunch time (killed Wrex, the council, Rachni quenn). Playing as a sentital this time around, usually I gun with very little biotecs or techs so it's hard to get used to switching it up.

I might continue with that, or I might get back into Legend of Dragoon, totally forgot I stopped playing it after getting Graces.

I played quite of bit of Legend of Grimrock today. Last week I played through the first floor and had to cheat by watching a video because I sucked so much at the game. It was the first dungeon crawler I ever played so I didn't really know what I was doing. Stupidly, I didn't realize I could attack then move away really quickly to avoid being hit. Now that I have a good idea of how to play, it's pretty fun. I beat the second floor, opened the iron doors, and found quite a few secrets. Will work more on the game tomorrow.

Damn that's a lot of time to not get that far at least. I need to get back into my save before I complete lose touch with the game.

Kinda started a new run of Twilight Princess just before my work weekend. So good.
