Jamie McLennan hopefully to stay

Jamie McLennan has been on 3 different teams in this year and last. IMO, he was better than Roman Turek in Calgary, but then Miikka(sp?) Kipprusoff came and McLennan didn't have a chance at the starting position, and was traded to the Rangers. He played only four games with New York, before the end of the season. He then got picked up by the Panthers on July 2, 2004, and that's where he is now. I hope that he will stay with the Panthers for a while, or else get traded to a team where he will be the startign goalie, because I think he could easily be the starter on soem teams.

I saw him last night in Calgary at Cowboys (local club). He is a great locker room guy but does not have the talent to be a #1 starter. Maybe a backup but I would not want my franchise to rely on him for a season. When he gets hot he could be a #1A/B type goalie but not a guy to rely on for 60 or so games.

Noodles is great, how can you not like a guy who started a mustache growing competition on his team?

I expect him to be in Florida for a while, with him backing up Luongo, you couldn't ask much more of him.

I saw him play in minnesota...He wouldn't have beat out either Fernandez or Roloson.

He wouldn't have.. and he didn't beat out Fernandez or Roloson. But if you are a team with a defacto #1 goalie then Noodles is the perfect back up goalie.

Jamie McLennan

Heck of a team player. Big fan of his, very sad to see him go.
