Fair enough. Just tired of seeing his 9th inning performances, or lack there of.

That's how it's done, way to go Casey!

I remember when the Yankees traded Nick Johnson to the Expos and he was supposed to be their 1B of teh future...

That was going to take a Devon White effort, Rasmus was close.

Nice to see Jim Leyland ripping the umps. Detroit really got jobbed today. I was watching that game during my lunch hour. Leyland went nuts.

maybe it was the camera angle, but it looked like if he didn't jump he might've had a better shot to catch the ball. Looked like he jumped and the ball hit the wall right underneath his glove.

Same here, about time someone spoke out against the umps. And it's true everyone needs to be held accountable, the umps are protected way too much by MLB.

Davidi's twitter said Santos could start throwing from a mound Wed/Thursd, hopefully we don't have to see Cordero and his dangly arm stance much more. How long until Santos could be ready if he starts mound work this week?

editing to say Hutch has a nice starter mullet going on there. keep in going keep in growing

I think the tide is starting to turn and we're going to see a manager's challenge system for replay in the next few years.

In football there was wide spread opposition to using replay and then over the course of a couple of season a bunch of high profile games were decided by horrific calls and that was enough to turn the tide. The NFL has been expanding its use ever since.

Last I heard, estimates were 3ish weeks from when he started throwing.

EDIT: we're approaching 1100 posts now. I'm gonna have to swap this thread out for a new GDT in a few minutes.

gas can needs to stop pitching in the 9th. he just doesn't seem suited for the 9th in the AL. oliver has pitched well, why don't we try him in blowout situations and shift cordero into his spot.

You are correct sir, I wouldn't expect him until late June-early July at the earliest.

A few weeks. After the mound thing, he will need to get into some game action.
