Whodunnit?

Anybody catch the first episode? ABC, 9 EST on Sundays.

I thought it was pretty awesome. Reminded me a lot of "The Mole", which was equally great.

Each cast member being killed in a new way every episode will be fun to watch as well.

Sounds like The Mole meets Murder in Small Town X meets CSI, sounds kinda cool.

Watched the first 2 episodes On Demand when super bored. Enjoyed them enough to set up a recording so I don't forget about it.... Although some of the contestants really annoy me.

Right now, I'm leaning toward Ronnie as the killer. How can the guy who watched the crime happen not make the best prediction on how it happened?

Man, that was some serious plotting. Talking about "Well, if someone's got to die" to plot out someone's death by withholding info.

Only thing I'm disappointed in is that they spoiled the case solving for next week. The preview for the episode showed a snake in a bag and a **** ton of snakes in a cabin.

Awesome episode. The group dynamics are changing, and the latest murder looks gruesome.

Can't wait for next week

Watched some of the first episode, couldn't get into it. Cool idea for a show though.

This show is so cheesy, but i find it pretty entertaining. Tonight's episode was great. I liked that they shook things up with the ending.

Yeah, it's cheesy, but entertaining. What I like is that it's a lot like Clue. I really love the board game and the 1985 film, and this feels a lot like that, but with added reality show dynamics (teamwork, one of the players secretly being the killer and the other players being the ones killed off).

It's not perfect. The individual cases are rather simple and the murders are seemingly ill-conceived, due to reliance on chance. It's easy to over-think things and rule out possibilities that wouldn't make sense in real life, but you have to remind yourself that this is scripted TV, so circumstances always align perfectly. The presentation is also often intentionally cheesy, what with rhymey clues and a British butler delivering ominous statements mixed with bad puns.

Still, if you don't take it too seriously, it's entertaining. Like Kessely said above, it's a cool idea for a show. The idea could probably be done even better, but it's a decent enough first attempt. Perhaps it'll be even better in later seasons (if there are any) or other shows that re-use the idea.

Now, if only ABC could merge this show with Bachelor Pad so that we can see those annoying bachelor(ette)s killed off at the end of each episode, rather than just voted off...

BTW, in correction of the thread title and in case people have trouble finding it in their guides or online, the show's title is "Whodunnit?"

I've been watching and find it entertaining... but it definitely isn't nearly as good as The Mole. What I don't like is nothing about the show is really about finding out who the killer is. The contestants just throw out a random guess when they are giving their explanation of how the murder took place.

I was thinking the killer was the black girl. Wrong on that one. I think it would be too obvious for it to be Ronnie or Kam. Who knows. I'll go with the blonde beauty queen Cris.

Yeah, none of the contestants are really concerned about who the killer is, but more about making sure they're not the next victim. Which makes sense, since the elimination is based off the murder itself rather than who committed it.

Unlike The Mole, where elimination is based off how the killer performed in that week's challenges.

I still think the killer is Ronnie.
I

Last night, a relative pointed out that they probably wouldn't cast someone of Middle Eastern heritage as the killer and I had to agree with her. It might not look so good on ABC if Kam (who, I think, is Turkish) ended up being the serial killer. For that matter, would ABC, champion of political correctness and the race card, even dare make him/her non-white, at least in this first season? I kind of think that they'd prefer to play it "safe" and cast a Caucasian so that they couldn't be accused of anything. That would eliminate Geno and, probably, Ronnie (who appears at least partly Hispanic), leaving any of the remaining women as suspects.

I like Cris because she's an ex-beauty queen and Lindsey because she's a pastor's daughter. Their backgrounds deflect suspicion, so they're perfect. Also, "it was the beauty queen!" or "it was the pastor's daughter!" would likely drive more social media buzz and watercooler talk that would keep and bring in interest for a next season, if there is one. I'm not ruling out Melina, but, unless she's doing a great acting job, she seems to be the least clever and initiative-seeking person remaining. Cris and Lindsey seem to me to be a little more plausible as killers.

Does anyone know if the killer knows that he/she is the killer? You'd assume so, but it wouldn't really be necessary, since they could notify the person on the final episode that he/she is the killer in the same way that they notify each person before being killed. That would certainly eliminate all of the complications with someone having to act and, perhaps, get found out through poor acting or a slip of the tongue. It could conceivably ruin the whole show if the contestants learned who the killer was midway through, since it would totally change their interactions with that person. It'd be a lot safer to keep it a mystery to even the killer, though it'd definitely take away the intrigue that comes from knowing that someone in the house is lying to everyone else.

My money is on molina so far because she's been totally useless and also over the top in her reactions to being scared.

Yeah this is certainly a good guess.

Gonna be honest, I dont think it can be Geno, At least for me it takes a lot to cry, so I certainly think that he actually has a shot at the money and is not the killer.

Lindsey annoys the hell out me.

I think its Kris, she always keeps her composure and is never really surprised

That is my guess.

At least since Ulysses was killed. He was my first guess.
