That's exactly what I complained about in the previous threads. I wrote about it at length actually - the whole gooey, gushy, we love each other aspect of it is a massive detriment to the show.

I've written at length about the problems of Community in the Part Three thread but in short it's all the inside jokes, the professor spacetime, the halloween specials, the god-damned dean, the dumbing down of characters, the post-ironic huggy feel good moments at the end of every episode, the complete lack of self-awareness (or too much self-awareness?)... the show is a parody of itself now but since what it's mocking is so kitschy and lame, the method it parodies itself is even lamer.

Pierce hugging Gus Fring at the end of the last episode was ridiculous on multiple plains.
My feeling is that even the Harmon crowd doesn't like that stuff. And I don't think anyone who loves Dan Harmon's impact on the show was defending that aspect of season 3, personally. I might consider myself part of that crowd and I hate that stuff.

Episode was not as awful as the first one, but yeah, this show's pretty much a lost cause, IMO. I'll probably be stopping here.

Ugh, more of the Inspector Spacetime **** ... and hey look, they are making fun of it by having a poster behind them. So witty!

the only reason last week's episode wasnt that good is because it was a halloween episode in the middle of february. No one would've cared if it was in october.

Not really. If they aired the zombie Halloween episode, I would've loved it regardless the month.

That was the least Community like episode yet out of all 3. A bit boring tbh, they do the emotional-y stuff at the end but they did it through the whole episode. Winger's lost his touch or "swag" or whatever word they use. Troy's the only one who still says funny crap. It probably had more of that mass appeal they were looking for I guess.

Britta's so cute sometimes.

I'm 6 minutes into an episode that features a giant doctor who reference and the jokes seem incredibly lame.

This show was good when it was actually about a community college.

Abed is really not delivering anymore. I think Harmon drove the Abed boat.

This show has been sabotaged and mishandled by NBC. It's a shame, there was so much potential with Harmon at the helm.

Abed was just quirky in the beginning. Now he is over-the-top quirky.

I loved the 90210 homage at the end with Dylan and Kelly.

Yup. Worked best when he was just a quirky minor character. Now they're over-using him.
