Great One at Game Three

TSN reporting Gretzky will be at Game three at the Staples Centre.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=396726

Not really sure why that's news, but he'll be there.

Be interesting if we play the Rangers in the finals and beat them. Gretzky's one team, LA, beats the Blues and Rangers, two of his former teams, and the Coyotes, the team he used to coach and part own, while carrying a number of former Oilers, the team he had his best success with.

I figured he was at games 3 and 4, just hidden somewhere in a box. He could have been for all we know. Interesting how many of the teams left in the playoffs are somehow tied to Wayne.

Pretty lean on the Kings' news since the series ended. This is going to be a long, long week. Our bickering thread was closed, not sure what to do til then

I figure once the East champion is set we'll get some media days, stories, build-up, and so on. Hopefully that makes the time pass quicker.

I wonder if they are trying to bring back as much of the 93 team as possible for game 3

He should stand in place of the statue and in that very same pose until the Kings win the Cup.

I saw Wayne posing in front of his statue before game 4, and Janet was taking his picture.

It was cool.

God, this is a classic. I've never seen Wayne look so miserable except maybe a few times behind the bench.

I have a suggestion, a list of all the great and upper level (**** it all of them) players with photos that have been kings.

Think back, Terry Sawchuck, Vick Venasky (my skate sharpener ) Charlie Simmer, That kid who refused to go out and fight... all of them

Also, those who have died like Whitey Whiding.

It would be wonderful to show the history (the misery as well) that being a Kings fan is.
