Who will you root for in the SCF?

I love (hate) how the kings beat seeds 1 2 3 but I am going for the devils, very similar to us. I will be in the NJ area for a few games so that could be why, who are you going for

I talked about this with my nephew during our series. The Kings have always been my second favorite team and that is why that series was a dream come true for me. I'm not happy that the Coyotes lost, but I would still be happy to see the Kings win it.

Part of what I like about the Kings winning it is that it would be historic since no 8th seed has ever done it. Then you factor that they beat the 3 division winners in their conference to get there, another amazing feat. The other thing I like about the Kings is that the Coyotes can take solace in losing to the Champs. It hurts more if they might be considered 4th best than 2nd best.

I will admit I don't know much about the Devils anymore. I know this is not the same team that won the Cups previously when you have guys like Kovalchuk and Parise on the team. Brodeur is a HOF goalie and every year he's in the playoffs I expect something like this to happen. The fact that he's getting as old as he is and could retire in the near future (maybe not this summer) it makes me cheer for him to go out on top.

I won't be disappointed in either team winning the Cup. I find it a bit funny that Philly sacrificed Carter & Richards to try to re-tool and stay competitive longer only to see those two guys going to the Finals for the 2nd time in 3 playoffs. To see a GM go out and make the big moves like that takes some balls. Lombardi's job was on the line and I think he's gotten himself a couple of added years after this run.

I will be rooting for Anze Kopitar.

He happens to play for the Kings.

The non-traditional market that doesn't "deserve" hockey.

I'll be happy if either team wins. I like seeing new winners and consider myself a fan of Anze Kopitar (becoming a fan of Quick too). However, it'd be really cool to see the Devils win again. It should be a good series. I'd like to see it go 7.

The Devils have won enough lately. Give me a few days and I will find it in me to root for the Kings.

I thought that cheering for the Kings was a no-brainer, but now that I read this post, I'm re-thinking. Nothing more annoying than fans in our building who have that sense of entitlement about them.

If the Coyotes ever win the cup, you will have Coyotes Fans wearing championship gear in any arena of any team in the league. As along as the visiting fans aren't wearing signs to wish us to lose our team, I can care less. Also the most the Kings will play a game in the regular season in AZ is 3.

The only time I've seen signs that wish us to move is when we played the Habs in 09-10.

Haha thanks man. I honestly don't mind Timeline, I like the Cover photo feature and I was an early convert to it.

Meh. Better the devil you know? I guess solidarity for sunbelt teams would win out for me although it would be tacky to see Brown win anything.
