I could see that. I can also see Santa, Aliens from Mars and the Winnipeg Jets moving back to Atlanta.

Let him troll. Whatever.

If he wants to ignore the context of it then fine. He can enjoy his teams mediocrity.

Lucic for Nash is a lot closer than people think, especially with contracts are factored in. Plus, I believe Lucic out produced him this year. And played better D. And was more physical.

The only reason I would do the trade would be to give Bergeron a big time sniper on his line.

I honestly don't want him back. I am more than content with what we got for him.

If he were offered to us for free, then by all means. But I would not give up much value to bring him back here.

Make it 3 firsts.

Lucic won't get traded unless he wants out. It sure doesn't seem like it'll be that way for a loooong time. Fan favorite, loves Boston, he's doing what he needs to do, (although it would be great if he stepped up more in the playoffs this year, last year was a bit excusable because he wasn't terrible and he was very injured) the guy might be a career Bruin. Would take an awful lot to get him.

No. Not now, not ever. MPS is alright, but he isn't exactly a premier prospect/player anymore. Eager sucks.

Even if the 1st trade went through, which it wouldn't, we wouldn't touch Getzlaf. He would demand a ton of money, then you have Bergeron/Krejci/Seguin/Getzlaf. All are pretty much #1C. And if we still had Savard, lol.

Why would we want him back? Obviously, the deal would start with Rask, Hamilton, or Seguin.

It's too late for that. Of course, like they said, he's a hell of a player, and if we happened to get him back, welcome! But we're not giving up anything big. And that's what it would take. He's also the one that demanded a trade. Why would management want him back?

I'm really not. He just didn't fit in here, what makes you think he will fit in now in the same exact same system. Plus Julien is not exactly too fond of him.

I don't want him back unless we get him for really good value. I.E. Caron + our 1st this year.

.....Bergeron. I would take Lucic over him. Maybe Seguin now. Definitely Seguin later.

30 goal scorer, 26 with no ENs, stone hands, back to back 60 point seasons.

Which one does not belong? Also, you're completely ignoring Lucic's intimidation, strength, and physicality. That's priceless.

Neglect the intangibles Lucic brings and the ones Kessel....ahem....lacks in spades (desire, defense, back check, hustle, physicality, general winning demeanor, work ethic, etc.)

I'm so over Kessel though. This thread is not about him and I feel as if I have had this discussion a billion times.

As I said in another post... how many points does Kessel have against Boston?... 7 or 8 in like 18 games, Seguin has more points against the Leafs than Kessel against Boston in 1/3 amount of the games...

Sorry, rather face a soft Kessel 6 times a year versus a hard ass player like Lucic who will be hammering our team to the boards 6 times a year.

And you're completely ignoring the fact that Kessel is one of the best snipers in the league while Lucic is no better than David Clarkson.

Lucic can't play defence any better than average and again he brings no more intangibles than David Clarkson.

What does how many points he has against one of the most defensive teams in the league have to do with who the better player is? What does Seguin having more points against the team that allowed the top 5 goals against for several years in a row now have to do with anything?

Kessel would be the best forward on Boston without question... he's a top 5 goal scorer in the league and just put up 30+ goals for the 4th straight year and had a PPG this year. How many times has Seguin scored 30 again?
