2nd one was incredible. Two bank passes off the boards in a row.

Hmm, that was pretty fantastic. Any chances that Williams want return a Canes?

Pfft...we don't need him, he's too injury-prone.

Not me. I was pissed at that trade when it happened. I think Williams is a bit fragile but he'd easily be our best two way forward if he was still here.

One more to go.

At this point just complete the sweep. Avoid giving the Devils any hope of a comeback and win it on home ice.

GO KINGS GO!!!!!!!

16-2 would be the greatest postseason ever, would it not?

Would tie the 1988 Oiler's who also went 16-2. They lost a road game I believe tho, and didn't start every series 3-0.

TECHNICALLY, the 1988 Oilers went 16-2-1 in the playoffs.

I completely understand the reason Rutherford moved Williams due to his injuries which weren't minor. He played 37, 44, 49 games over 3 straight seasons. He even struggled his first couple of seasons with the Kings to stay healthy. It's really good to see him healthy these last couple of years though. Was my favorite Cane player on that cup team and is still one of my favorite non-Canes.

He's not old by any means as he'll be 31 next season, but a GM still has to be concerned given his injury history and the nature of his injuries. Will be good to see him lift the cup again.

Not gonna lie, I'm gonna be mad if the Kings blow it tonight. I want to see the Cup finally won on home ice again, I want to see them complete their insane run of dominance, and I want to go to the Belmont Stakes Saturday which I will feel pressured not to do if there is a SCF game on.

Who was the First?

And If I switch my allegiances to the Kings over the Sharks out west, that's like Fan cheating right?

ugh I can't do it.. no LA based teams for me but go Quick!

It's hard to believe the season might be over today. I can remember being in Colorado last year when the final game was played. Seems like it just happened.

I agree, it's never fun to watch a team celebrate a Stanley Cup victory on the opposing team's ice. I hadn't realized that it had been five years since a team clinched the Cup on their home ice. I don't think '06 would've been nearly as sweet if the 'Canes had lifted the Cup in Edmonton.

Should have lifted it in game 5 here in Raleigh.

Wait, does Stillman's return make him the director of Ill-Timed Postseason Turnovers for the organization now?

Scuba Diver Justin.

See, he'd fit in perfectly with this team still.

The Cup is won every year... the Triple Crown is not.

I wasn't too upset to see Williams dealt, I was upset when I learned what Rutherford traded him for (Cole). He was a shell of his former self at the time of the trade, the injuries had really taken their toll on his play. I'm glad to see he has turned it around in Los Angeles, but I will always be wary of his ability to stay healthy.
