I never said the Stoll hit wasn't deserving of a penalty, nor was I doubting the questionable officiating. I simply pointed out that the NBA has had terrible favoritism-based officiating, and that Pierre has complained about the Stoll non-call about every chance he could in this game.
Besides, I'd probably find it more feasible to not call a penalty on Stoll than to call a penalty on that nonsense. Sure, Stoll probably should have had a penalty, and the Kings might not have had those three goals in the first period had that been called. But that's not something the officials "planned" in giving Bernier his well-deserved major. The officials are human, and they can't be perfect.
