The Pittsburgher Thread: The Andrew McCutchen is God Thread

The other is approaching 1,000 posts so I figured I'd start a new one.

Buc's looking to sweep the Cubs. Cubs are looking to break an 11 game losing streak.

Matt Hague with a good game last night. 3 out of 4 good Ab's. Missile to CF for an out, a walk a single and the HBP (lucky on that one) to drive in the winning run. And a couple nice plays at 1st base.

Huh, interesting fact on Cutch. He leads the NL in BA in night games at .392.

Get back to 1 game, boys! Beat up on a beaten down team. We've been there done there. Let's go!

Haha, I guess each pitcher is different in terms of running out a grounder. Corriea last night ran as if a lion was chasing him. Bedard on that one, moved with a total disdain for any stride that would induce a sweat.

Tabata with a 2 out triple.

Bedard is definitely battling back spasms. He won't be pitching longer than 6 innings today.

Jones with a two run homer. 6 runs!

Edit: two run single for Gorkys, 8-0 now

I keep forgetting that Dale Sveum is the manager of the Cubs. Guy was reliable back in 97.

Hard to believe that "The Freak Show" was already 15 years ago. Christ, I feel old.

If your Paul Maholm, life likely sucks even more right now. You finally get out of Pittsburgh and all that losing, to land in Chicago and it is even worse.

Big big big series starting today. I feel if they can just get the bats going and the pitching stays the same, this is a series that can set the tone on the season..

Bucs wear the camo jerseys all weekend, but on actual Memorial Day they don't?

Looking good early. Don't understand why they'd pitch to McCutchen here though..

Edit: That was uninspiring.

Runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs, top of the lineup up, down by 3 in the 3rd inning....and Dusty Baker wants to ****ing bunt the runners over and give up an out at a meaningless time to do so.

don't ever change Dusty

Oh, bunt right into a force-out after McDonald threw 6 straight balls. Jesus Christ how can Dusty be a manager for like 20 years and be such a ****-up is beyond me. Will probably still get hired by another team after he eventually gets canned by Reds.

EDIT: Baker just destroyed that inning completely by himself. McD just walked pitcher on 4 pitches, threw 2 balls to Stubbs, yet he still wants to take bat out of his hands to bunt the runners over at first pitch anywhere near strike zone. If I was a Reds fan I'd be raging pretty hard at that inning. They're down by 3 runs early in the game, wtf at acting like it's a one-run game in the 9th inning with those "tactics."

Pedro putting some good games together offensively. Barajas coming around as well.
It wasn't too long ago he was batting a buck thirty. He is around .230 now.
