In regards to the two teams in the finals this season, I really couldn't care less, didn't have a strong like nor dislike for either, but it's still nice to see a team win their first cup.

Now, back to the Leafs and the offseason.

feels embarassing that teams like LA, Chicago, Boston ended their droughts and we continue to suck.

We were where the Kings were about 5 years ago with them and here they are at the top now.

It definitely sucks...Boston, Chicago, LA all teams that were right there being terrible hockey clubs 5 years ago with us..and now they've become solid Cup winning teams and have it in them to win more Cups.

We're pretty much in a revolving rebuild right now...We don't even luck out on getting solid prospects like Henrique..

He was drafted in 2010 in the 3rd round and he's 10x better than Schenn and Kadri..guys we drafted in the top 7.

I honestly want to know what Burke will say if someone brings up the Kings about his stupid "8th seed and get beat in the 1st round" crap he spews every year when he doesn't make the playoffs

also **** I wish we signed Kelly .. that would have been a solid off-season acquisition and especially for addressing PK issues

If you feel that embarrassed there is 29 other teams you can pick from.

Let's not forget L.A "sucked" until about February as well, And L.A fans wanted Lombardi to be fired. Actually on Feb 6th we had more points then them.

if Kelly can play goaltending, then that's great.

No. Just No. I do not like the "Los Angeles Kings" and I do not like the "New Jersey Devils." Why are we congratulating this team. I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan to my cold bones until I am cockroach food and I not happy about this "Los Angeles Kings" championship.

Maple Leafs first and foremost and other teams - to garbage can. When we win the cup the world will see what a real sports fan base looks like.

All I have to say is the refs were garbage through out these playoffs. Terrible game to officiate.

Congrats to the KINGS though. best team in the playoffs and the most bandwagon fans in hockey history.

Burkie, BRING the cup to T.DOT. We deserve it!

Because just like all Stanley Cup winners, they battled and fought hard to win. The toughest trophy to win in sports, and it does take a toll on you. That said, the refs were garbage and should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm fine with the Kings winning the Cup. I can't stand Jeff Carter hoisting it though.

Watching the Kings win the cup makes it apparent how far the Leafs are to contending for the cup.

Everyone will point to the obvious need down the middle.

But they have one of the best goalies in the NHL (2 years straight netted a cup winner)

They have a stud D man, who I thought should have won the Conn Smyth in Drew Doughty.

They have size and skilled fwds. SIZE. Best Kings fwd Dustin Brown last night and all throughout the playoffs.

All things the Leafs need to add if they want to make it to that level.

Leafs have holes everywhere, the mistake is to think finding a few Centers will solve all our problems. We need size everywhere, skill, goaltending, a stud D, and depth Centers with size.

This.

People seriously forget facts in a matter of mere seconds.

Leafs are on the right track, just sit back and relax, we are getting closer whether people believe it or not.
